I have noticed that it some times take 5 days for delivery of the stocks. In my case when I complete buy transaction next day it is generally visible in Obligation report of my trading app. Once it is delivered it is show in asset report.

Talk to your broker he is in best position to explain

Which account you are holding ?? ... I have got the same problem earlier with sharekhan. I think it's working like this. We are buying shares from sharekhan (or something else) and they are settling these orders (from others also) in bulk later. But sometimes it happens that they could not manage to get the required number ( i don't know the reason). I think you can write a mail to them. They normally inform only after 2-3 days (may be after settlement date). It happened to me that I manage to sold these shares also and I got some kind of penalty.

Hey asnavalejiii,

Very well explained sirjiiii..... Impressive (Claps)
Can u explain in detail how to calculate the stoploss and the target price?
Most of us don't know how to do it so it will be very much helpful if u can explain us all how to do it.......:)

Thanks
Hi Chaitanya,

Let me explain this with an example. In Chapter II, I have given the Buy Triggers generated today. Let us take the example of GTLINFRA. Today GTLINFRA has closed at 37.20 (NSE price) and reached a high of 38.65. It has a made a low of 34.10 on 22-7-09. Using these values we calculate the Target and SL as Follows:

STOP LOSS = RECENT LOW = 34.10 (I have rounded this to 34, as we should have SL a little below calculated value).

TARGET = 2 times High minus Stop Loss = 2 X 38.65 - 34.1 = 77.3 -34.1 = 43.2

This is the way I calculate initial SL (There are other ways of calculating SL).The trailing SL will be same as the initial SL till a new LOW is made during retracement which is higher than the initial SL. Once a new higher LOW is made (during a retracement) the Trailing SL will move up to that value and the same process continues till either the SL is hit or a SELL triggered.

For any clarification please do post.

Hi Anant,

Thanks for explaining bro. :)

Just wanted to know, do u follows trendlines to calculated this ?
I have seen your post in chapter -II thread there u says buy/sell signal generated what do u mean by signal generated i mean are you programmer and using any kind of software to generate those signals? If so then what is the logic (Is it trendlines or something else).

It is not compulsory to give reply to my questions as it might be your personal logic to calculate those signals. :)
