You need to check for the stock that you bought on that day at something called Trade Log. You may have the option to modify a Delivery stock (after buying) to Daytrading, and can sell by selecting the stock from there.

Thanks,
Sameer.

Hello Savant Sir,
Please see the attached image.
I don't know whether i am right or wrong. But in below image there is Order Type (Buy/Sell and ShortSell). If i select Buy and place new order even after successful execution of my order i am not able to view that stock in my DP/SR report from where i can sell, then how i can sell that that day only.

Hi Raj,

I Saw The Attached Image With Drop Down Selection, No Where I See That One Has To SELECT Whether If BUYING For Intraday Or Delivery, Therefore I Do Not Know What You Guys Are Talking About....Infact I See SHORTSELL Where You Can Even Short It On Intraday & Cover It Before The Market Closes.

If You Do Take Delivery It Is Always A Client's Risk Incase Of Bad Delivery If You Happen To Sell Before T+2. This Also In My Experience Rarely Happens With Liquid Stocks, But Many Brokers Including Sharekhan Are Notorious For Auctions On BTST & Make A Killing Even If There Is No Auction.

No nothing like that.

I have 2 accounts. Old one with ICICI which I stopped trading in bcoz of 2 reasons - Brokerage & Flexibility - and second with Almondz Global.

In ICICI when I buy any share I have to specify Intraday or Delivery. If delivery then I cannot convert to Intra but the inverse is possible only before 2.45pm else it is sq off automatically before EOD (since it is Intra) at mkt rate whether profitable or otherwise. Delivery can be sold the next day as BTST. If you do not sell then u have to wait till it arrives in DP i.e. 1 day you will have to bear.

In Almondz I buy and can sell same day or next day or next day -- all managed at the service providers end. Simple.

So it depends on the service provider actually.

Hello Sam, Thanks for reply.

Yes i do have Trade Log after placing a new order i can modify it or cancel it but only if it has not been executed. After execution of my order that Mod/Cancel button is not visible. Then for selling i have to wait till that stock get added in my DP/SR.

Hi Raj,

There Is No Reason Why A Scrip Can't Be Sold On The Same Day Of Purchase, These Guys Are Trying To Make Ullus Out Of You, By Making Stupid Rules, So That They Make Brokerage For Delivery, Why Can't You Guys Fight For What Is Right Or Wrong.

Most Of These Brokers In Bombay Are So Scared Of Me Inspite Of Me Not Even Having An Account With Them, Because I Call Them At Times On Behalf Of Some Friends, Because Of Similar Problems Faced Regarding Auctions & Closeouts.

I Suggest You Familiarise Yourselves With All The Rules & Regulations & Another Very Important Thing, Do Not Address Them As 'Sir' Just Call Them By Their First Name....& Talk Confidently As If You Know All The Rules Even The Ones That Aren't There....:)

Hi Devraj,

A Few Things Since You Mentioned You Are A New Trader, But Then I Am Not Aware Whether You Have Been An Investor Before Or Absolutely New To Markets.

Assuming That You Are Absolutely New, You Will First Need To Get The Excitement Out Of Your System & Any Illusion That You May Have That You Will Double Your Money In No Time.

Secondly, Only Delivery Trades For You My Friend & Let 10,000/- Remain Idle For Sudden Opportunites.

So, Trade With 15,000/- Spread The Risk Between 3-4 Scrips From Different Sectors.

In Terms Of Which Scrips You Can Enter, Check The Chapter-II In Equities Where BUY & SELL Triggers Are Given, For Monday There Maybe Something But Haven't Worked Out Anything Yet, Therefore Check On Sunday Evening For Any Updates For Monday.
