Hi Savant,

PTC looks good for now. Early bird to pickup @94.7 immediately on the market opening bell. Picked up STRLINBIO and NALCO a bit late. Ended the day with -20,000/-. Playing positional this time though exited NALCO @ 315 with -10,000/- as did not feel it right to carry forward three lots overnight. The sudden whipsaw on 'BAD MONSOONS' again caught me unawares and siting on -5,000/- MTM each with PTC and STERLBIO.

Any targets in mind for these two scrips ? With the bad monsoons imminent may one go short on some Auto and Realty Stocks ?

STERLINBIO - I Need To Check But Exit With Little Profit Whenever That Comes...Cause It May Try Your Patience & Moreover With Such Volatility There Is Bound To Be Others That Will Look More Attractive.

Why NALCO......You Should Have Seen That Commodity Prices After Running So Hard Had Corrected A Bit Overnight In The International Markets.

With Such Volatilty I Mentioned It To You Yesterday Play LONG & SHORT Both With Different Scrips.

I Think I Need To Get A Drill Machine To Drill Your Head To Put This Message....:annoyed:

Moreover I Mentioned Second Half Is Going To Be Volatile.

My Dear Friend, Monsoon Is A Non-Issue Forget The Sound Bites You Hear On Channels....Dont' Over Analyse Things....Bears Have Already Lost The Battle Trying To Convince Everybody That It Is Just A Relief Rally...So Some Of Them Who Didn't Enter Are Using Monsoon & Etc....To Create Fear

Do understand your annoyance at not going short on one weak one. But, it was a big dilema... which one ? Missed the warning on choppy later half. Think I deserved the punishment for not being attentive and reckless.

Just one last one ! Most of my short trades have been bad and it appears that there is phobia in me. Is there a way to overcome this mental barrier ?

Yes...Once You Have Identified A Short Then Go Short Cover It With Smaller Profit....Keep Doing It.....& Try To Increase The Spread For Profit....Meaning Stay In The Trade Longer....This Way You Or Anybody Can Overcome The Phobia....Must Invent A Word For It.....

eureka !!! That must be the solution. Go short with one. .... Hang on to it for a long durations with a series of intraday trades, small trailing profits. Can you please suggest me a good candidate for it ? Or may I just try out one with 9,2 BB upper band piercing by Green bar followed by a Red bar and keeping track of 5,6 SMA crossover...and cover at lower BB piercing of Red Bar followed by a Green one on 1/3/5 mins Time Frame ?? I am mentioning 1 min TF as it sometimes works as an early warning system.

You had earlier given sell triggers for PATELENG, SUNPHARMA, SUZLON. And EDUCOMP is down 100 today. Bouce back next day ?

Check The List Again My Friend SUNPHARMA & SUZLON Both Are Out Of The List...Check How TSL Was Updated

I Think For Going SHORT, Upper BB Piercing Followed By A Red Bar Is Ideal To Start With...For Now.....Inorder To Do This Ideal Candidates Are High Volatile Stocks Such As EDUCOMP, JINDALSTEL, CRISIL, RENUKA, There Are Few Others But Can't Remember Offhand.....Anyways The First Two Are Ideal.

If You Want To Hedge Your Position Then Open Another Trading A/c Where You Can Be SHORT In One A/c & Long In The Other For The Same Scrip....

Since 4700 Has Been Proving To Be Such An Obstacle.....This Is The Only Way For It To Cross It Comprehensibly.......For That Such Violent Move Is Necessary....

That Is Why I Had Mentioned In The Morning Post, Although Time Of 12.30Was A Little Off The Mark, But It Was Mentioned That Second Half Will Be Volatile.

Nothing To Worry....But You Will Witness This Chopiness, Till Nifty Crosses 4700 With A Huge Short Covering One Of These Days....Perhaps On Tuesday.....
