Just before the market opened on Wednesday, Forest Labs, the company to which Glenmark had outlicensed research on Oglemilast to, said Oglemilast did not show positive results in Phase II-B. Forest Labs would drop Oglemilast for the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) indication, it said, but would continue research on Oglemilast for asthma cure.

As a reaction to the news Glenmark Pharma opened deeply in the negative.
