Oh same prblm with sharekhan too , We can exit only on 21.08.09.:(

As there is no pay-in/ pay-out on 19th August 2009, Deliveries purchased (both NSE/BSE) on 18th August, 2009 will not be available for selling on 19th August, 2009 as the Pay-in/Pay-out for both the settlements have been merged on 21st August, 2009
I had purchased few shares of MEGASOFT on 18.08.09 at 25.55 and today it touched Circuit at 31.50. I was happy & when the Ask volume started reducing, I got little panic and manage to sell them at 31.50 during the closing hours. But I totally forgot about this pay-in/pay-out problem.

I have to wait and watch what will happen to my trade.

If Savanth Sir can tell me about the problems, I will be happy.

I use Geojit and there are no restriction for buying and selling any time.

Hi Bunny,

Karthik Has Already Developed An AFL For AmiBroker & It Is Posted In His VSA Thread, So If Anybody Who Has Amibroker Could Use It For RT Or EOD

Anybody who is interested in buying the TradeGuider software for automated VSA, please know it the users of it have not given a very favorable feedback about it. Ex: Sometimes, the failed signals disappear, so when you look the chart to the left, it appears as though the software is never wrong. There are also many bugs in it according to its users, like not refreshing fast enough in real time.

So if you want to buy that software, do checkout for the review from its users. I guess its present on other forums.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Hi All Friends,

I had to go out and was moving around different places since 31-8-09. Therefore, I was not able to post the follow-up and new triggers during this period. A lot of things have changed and need updating. I may be able to update today in the evening and resume the posting.

Chachi,

It Has Nothing To Do With Geojit.

Whenever You Have A Bank Holiday, Usually The Settlements Of Previous Day & The Bank Holiday Gets Clubbed Together As A Single Settlement Number & This Circular Is Released On Prior To The Holiday & One Can Check The Settlement Calendar.

There Will Definitely Be An Auction....Just Hope It Hits 2 Lower Circuits To Minimize Some Of Your Loss.

To Illustrate Clubbing Of Settlement Numbers Where Previous Days Purchase Is Not Allowed To Be Sold Next Day.

Let's Say Monday You BUY A Scrip For Which Settlement Would Normally Be Wednesday.
But Tuesday Is A Bank Holiday Therefore Your Mondays Purchase Settlement Gets Pushed To Thursday.
Tuesday Although It Is A Bank Holiday But The Exchanges Are Open So Anybody Buying Anything On Tuesday Would Have A Normal Settlement Of Thursday.....

Since Mondays Settlement Has Got Pushed To Thursday Because Of Bank Holiday On Tuesday, Therefore One Is Not Allowed Previous Days Purchase To Be Sold Next Day, If Next Days Settlement Is Same As The Previous Day.

Now One May Ask Market Was Open Only Banks Were Closed...It Is Because Many Banks Are DP & Client May Not Be Able To Submit The Instruction Slip In Time For The Release Of His Shares...For Payin Obligation.

Thanks for your reply.

However there was a mail from geojit earlier which said that trades done on 18th and 19th will be settled on 21st without any obligation on geojit.

In that case it is possible that, if the trades are settled in sequence, then there should not be any auction of my trades. This is just my logic. I may be wrong.

I am just hoping for the best.

Thanks any way.

Hi all,

I am very much curious to know as to why the Mid-Caps in IT rose by 10-15%+ in the yesterday's fall? Is there any specific reason for that?

The Midcaps in IT shot up, while the IT gaint's and the rest of the market fell on it's face?

Thanks

Hi Chait,

MidCap IT Has Been Moving Up Quite Steadily For Sometime....Look At BUYHOLD List To See Number Of Them That Are There.

Now Coming To The Reasons.....

Earlier Belief Was In The Event Of Global Slowdown Only The Big Players Would Do Well, & There Were Dire Consequences Voiced For The Smaller Ones...In The Same Space.

Well Through Steady Accumulation Big Players Have Got More Or Less Fairly Valued With Not Very Much Upside In The Near Term, It Is The Smaller Fishes Which Have Surprised The Analysts With Their Results...Since They Were Treated As Orphans Earlier...As A Result Created A Huge Valuation Gap Compared To The Big Players...Therefore It Is Not Surprising To See Mid-Cap ITs Companies Being Accumulated With A Vengeance.

One Thing These So Called Big Analysts Forgot When They Voiced Apprehension About Them...

a) They Are Indians
b) Being Indians, We Are Very Very Quick To Adapt To Changing Environment.
c) Etc.
d) More Etc....:)

They Forgot That We Were Relatively Unscathed In The Subrime Woes Of The World.....
