Hi Chait,

Izzner, Can Buy Any Amount Of CALLs Or PUTs To Get Out Of A Sticky Situation.

Another Thing, Risk Of Loosing The Entire Premium Was Already There In My Post.

Option Requires A Trader To Follow The Market.....If One Is Unable To Stomach The Risk Of Loosing The Premium & Follow The Market & Have Some Basic Idea Of CALL & PUT....Please Do Not Get Into It.

Thanks For the sugession sirjiii.

I am not really concerned with the risk of losing the premium. I am fully aware that it is possible to lose it when playing around with Nifty options:). The main problem from my side is that i cannot follow the market for the whole session. Probaly that's the biggest disadvantage living in the other part of the world.:annoyed:

So sirjiii, Should i hold the lot(4700 CE) or square it off today?

Aur kya? kaise tha Ganesh visarjan?

Does anybody feel that the markets are weak? Below is a 3-yr weekly chart of NIFTY. The price-volume patterns in the last couple of months are quite similar to those observed during Dec 2007 -Jan 2008, after which the markets crashed.

Also, through the levels is near a supply/resistance zone, wide spreads are absent, but higher volumes are present. I fear these are bearish indication. Bullishness would be rather indicated by wide spreads on high volumes.

Hi Bunny,

Past Similarity Of The Chart Especially January 08 Should Not Be Viewed With Present Similarity....Without Knowing Exactly What Transpired Then...& What Precipitated It Into Further Downside.....

Every Year We Have Two 10-20% Correction Because Of Funds Booking Profits....Which Was Normal....Same Had Happened Prior To January 2008, In August/September 07.

Earlier FIIs Just Chased Stocks Irrespective Of Where The Prices Were...As A Result We Had This Phenomenon Of Big Brokerages Cornering The Stocks Based On MSCI India Index, A Few Days Before The Anticipated Fund Flows...
And Most Times They Succeeded In Flipping It To The FIIs...Making A Killing Without Using Any Fund Of Their Own....

I Remember At A New Year Party Many Big Guys From Various Brokerages Were All In Agreement That, Come January & Sensex Would Touch 25000+, Now One May Ask, Why January? Well The Structure Is Such That When The FIIs Return From Their Christmas & New Year Holiday Around January 1st Week, It Also Happens To Be Their Next Financial Year, Considering They Follow It From Jan To Dec As Opposed To Us Who Follow Apr To Mar. & FIIs Allocate The Funds To Be Deployed In Various Markets.

As A Result, In Anticipation Big Brokerages Had Already Cornered The Shares...But It Backfired When The Funds Didn't Come...There Were Many News Of Many Brokerages Having Defaulted Or Cheques Bouncing...During All This Only Retail Clients Suffered....And The Actual Down Turn Started Because Of This In Our Markets...& Later Got Precipitated Because Of Sub-Prime, Banks Going Down....& Etc. Etc....

Problems With Global Economy Is Not A Annual Phenomenon....But Perhaps Some Sort Of Big Global Problems Can Be Expected Every 8-10 Years....

I Still Maintain My Earlier Views About Our Markets...& Global Economy In General.

Agar hum Sufi hote to kya Tata Chemicals ki baat karte? Sufi ziyada mein ziyada sirf Tata Salt ya Tata Tea ki baat kar sakta hai :D

Hum ek aam insaan hain . . jo roz raat ko sone se pehle Dow ko dekhta hai aur subah uth kar sab se pehle Shanghai Stock Exchange ke numbers dekhta hai . . Savant Ji woh din kab aayega jab Americans subah uth kar sab se pehle Nifty ko dekhen ge aur chapte Chinese sone se pehle apni choti choti aankhein phaadh kar Sensex ka tension lenge? :D

Murtuza Bhai Ramzan ka mahina hai . . Sone se pehle mere msg mat padha kijiye . . un mein kabhi kabhi Goa aur Oily Games ka zikar bhi aa jata hai . . Ulte seedhe khawab aa sakte hain aur khawab mein agar aap ne sahi waqt par Stop Loss nahin lagaya to gunah mujhe milega:D

Hi,

I see ONGC charts lower BB is pierced by red candle. How do i infer if the stock will start moving upwards again towards upper bb or will break out on the lower end.

Do i have to wait for one more candlestick to form.

Thanks
Pooja
Yes Pooja,

One more candle to confirm. If green then buy else leave it (better not to short). Even the buy would be much more safer once the green candle closes above the red candle.
This concept has been very properly and tradeably explained by Savant earlier in this thread and again by Rajendrani as a Gimmie Bar concept (search TJ with Gimmie Bar and Rajendrani as keywords and I'm sure u'll get it) and not to forget Columbus who has a thread on the very exact same lines updated daily.
