Hi FantastiKanth,

It Would Have Helped To Know What Kind Of Figure Are You Talking About.

Anyways, If It Is More Than 10L, Then My Suggestion Would Be To Keep Aside 4L For Positional Trades In Derivatives....If Your Eyes Have Popped Out At The Suggestion Of Derivatives....Don't Worry, I Know What I Am Talking About.

From The Balance Of 6L About 1.5-1.8L Can Be Invested In The Next Small Dip....Or Follow The Fresh Triggers Posted In Chapter-II Whenever It Is Posted.

Savant ji,

Two questions for you...
The scripts mentioned by you in above post is for anybody in general or specifically for FantastiKanth considering his newness and big pockets?

2nd question pertains to a friend of mine who called up and asked me to suggest some penny stocks below 10 RS price. I advised against it and talked about thinking of investing in some small cap PSU banks (likes of Dena, Uco or DCB etc) or even GVK/ARvind/Skumars etc. But he stressed on the fact that he just wants to invest 15k so preferring penny stocks. I dont really think highly of things like Cals refinery or Bellary steel etc. So just thought of asking you. Do you second my view or have any clue about any share of below 10 category?

Regards,

Hi Talisman,

a) Recommendations Are Specific To FK...But Indusind & DCB Can Be Considered By Everybody

b) You Were Absolutely Right In Warning Your Friend Against These Stocks. Explain It To Your Friend Buying 10 Buck Stock Doesn't Necessarily Mean More Profit...His Error Is In Understanding That If He Put His 15K In These Stocks He Will End Up Making More Money Because Of More Quantity Acquired. At The End Of The Day It Is Percentage Appreciation Of The Capital Invested...So Quantity Of Shares Is Immaterial.

Perhaps He Can Look At Buying Some Quantity Of ASSAMCO

VSA outlook on NIFTY

I just sent this to the Technical Investor group on Yahoo Groups.

This is my outlook on NIFTY from a VSA perspective. Please see this chart for reference.

In the last session(Sep 14 2009), NIFTY has closed with a down day. Its has somewhat formed the Hanging Man candlestick pattern, though some may not agree because books say that the lower shadow should be atleast twice the size of the body. Anyways, if one sees the chart, one may observe that the volume under it quite normal and not greater than the average. This may force one into believing that today's down day is just a hiccup in the uptrend and there is no serious selling going one. However, for the last 3 sessions, the NIFTY is not making new highs, but instead lower highs and lower lows. Bear in mind that in the last 6 sessions, the lows(around 4785 +-5) were supported and there was also an upthrust - which is a trap move. Why would bullish operators trap dumb money on the long side?

If you sum up the above, you get a feeling that markets are weak, infact could be very weak and that is why the smart money is behaving this way. A weak market can break with just one blow, and they want to avoid this blow because perhaps there are some large selling orders in the queue. Once these are executed, the market will be unsupported.

Guys using VSA may also interpret the low of the last session(Sep 14 2009 - Low 4786.25) as a successful test of supply since the volume has not increased. However, to carry a test of supply, the markdown should be sufficient and the markdown should go down into an area of previous supply. Both the conditions are not satisfied(though the first one is subjective) and hence it cannot be a test of supply.

Thanks,
-Bunny.
