Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Sibu Da,

SG gives the entry price which is previous day's High. The idea behind the entry price being previous day high is that, if the stock is really going to move up, it would go up to and beyond previous day's high. In case it does not make it, there is a chance, but small, that the stock may move down even after the buy trigger. Therefore, the entry can be taken next day if the price is able to move to the suggested price. It is not necessary to enter at or above the suggested price. Once that price is achieved, you can buy at even lower price. The amount of effort put by SG and the huge experience of trading those signals live with real money itself is confidence for others.

For the stocks which have achieved target and new targets are given, new entry is possible especially after a small retracement.

For the stocks which have given Sell signals, shorting was not taken into consideration. They had already given buy signals earlier and now they have either gone in the sell region or below stop loss. If you want to short, calculation of target and stop loss have to be calculated in a different way and shorting strategy will be different. As these signals are not meant for intra-day, shorting in intra-day is not to be done based on these sell triggers. I am not sure any broker allows shorting for a period of several days. Therefore, those signals are not meant for shorting.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Hi Suresh,

I have a list of about 200 shares on which I run the AFL. The list is given in the mother thread. Search for my posts in that thread around 30th June.

The system is being improved through collective efforts with contribution of ideas from all the members here.

The modified AFL is being uploaded. It is not much changed. I have added another option in it to draw Bollinger bands. This was suggested by Savant and Prasad also has contributed to the idea. At present there is no interpretation added based on BB. There is option to draw BB and facility to play around with BB period and BB width.

Thanks for your ideas and words of appreciation.

SM sir,

I think AFL can be used only in amibroker software.

AFL is the short for Amibroker Formula Language.

SIR JI I AM VERY MUCH THANKFUL TO ALL THE SENIOURS AND JUNIORS OVER HERE FOR THEIR GUIDANCE.
" KYA MEIN JAN SAKTA HU KI YE 200 STOCKS ANANT SAHAB NE KIS LOGIC SE PASAND KIYE HAI "
भाई मंजीत,

ये 200 शेयर इस आधार पर चुने गए हैं कि 85 से 90% खरीदारी और 85 से 90% कारोबार इन्ही शेयरों में प्रति दिन होता है ।

Dear Manjeet,

These approximately 200 shares were selected because 85-90% of volume traded and 85-90% turn-over everyday takes place in these shares only.

Sirji,
your view on gmrinfra.. i bought at 165 bt nw its trading at 143...it is not ready to come till my buy price...
I am loosing my patience on it....shall i sell it??
You may notice that I am always talking about selling...reason being..i want to invest in gud stocks which may give decent profits..bt i am lacking funds...so thinkin of removing some scrips which are nt gvng any return bt are in losses...
Same with suzlon..avg buy price is 167..
Also Omaxe...buy price is 315 (bought in jan 2007)..

Sir, i want ur view on all these scrips...whether to hold or remove...

Hi Prabhan,

Difficult To Track During Market Time...But If I Were You, I Would Show More Patience...Not Right Time To SELL & Enter Something Else...

Anyways Will Check Your Scrips In The Night.

Happy & Safer Investing

savant & anant sir,

Thank you for doing selfless work for all the members & we truly appreciate your guidance in grooming us.

well, I have learnt that corrections are healthy for the market & at the same time, some retracement might be there, but I tend to be a bull at heart & a positive thinker. I don't think about a possible nifty correction anymore to hold me back in buying what i believe I need to buy. Today I had full confidence that market will prove bears wrong & by sustaining 5000 + it is doing that i guess.

Dow 9,829.80 +50.94 ....... 12:15 am

I wish nifty touches 5200 tomm & all the bears claiming a correrction are proved wrong :p

Bought FSL today, as suggested by anant sir - 1000 @ 37.40

Cheers to All.
