20 Simple MA only:

What is the software u people refer in yr posts sometimes that u use to get the stats like 5/6,,, etc.,,,
Mostly it is AmiBroker. But any charting software would be equally good.

Savant/Anant,

Here is what I can analyze with whatever i have understood abt TA so far:

1) bajajhind buy signal came in first week of april
2) Sell trigger came on 6th July
3) Second Buy signal came on 20th July

From 27th July till now Stock has been Range bound, so all signal buy/sell by 5/6 or 20 sma/ema should be ignored till it breaks above or below its range.

When stock is range bound, 5/6 or 20 sma/ema gives whipsaws. Consider their triggers only when it breaks the range.

I am just sharing what i have learnt in Savant's 2 threads.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

Sir, What should be done with this? I didn't find any new targets for DCHL in your other thread too....SHould I sell it off and book my profits?
Hi Mohan,

Hold DCHL. It is nearing its target of 141. After it closes above 141 new target will be available.

Hi Tarun,

You are right. At present it is rangebound but yesterday it appears to have broken out on the higher side.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

@Anant Sir,
I just need a small clarification on the moving avg system AFL.
In the update section, the profit/losss is calculated on current day's close.

can it be modified to
1. cost - stoploss(if stop triggered)
2. cost - close( if stop is not triggerd)
Thank you.
Hi rajesh,

It can be done. But in both cases it would be (Cost - Close) because you will know the Sell trigger or SL hit only after the close of the market. So close price decides the trigger. Actual trade would be next day and actual P/L will depend on the actual selling price which we don't know.
