Hi Anant,

First and foremost, let me congratuate you for the awesome effort you've put into sharing your knowledge and work.

I'm quite new to the technical analysis area (1 week to be precise). But I have progressed a good deal thanks to your documentation and this forum.

I have got Amibroker working on my system and uploaded some NSE data using the Amibroker update tool.

I also have spent a bit of time on your AFLs. I have been a developer for the past 15 years ; so that was relatively simple especially with your brilliant documentation.

Now, I spend a lot of time travelling by train and I have been thinking if this was possible :

1. I believe you have currently optimized your AFL using 70% of the candle to trigger a buy and 0% above to trigger a sell.

2. I was planning on working on creating a report / chart by analysing data over the past, say 5 years, for various ratio pairs

e.g. (70,0) (this is your pair)
(70,5), (70,-5)
(65,5), (65,-5) etc

3. For each pair, I would like to write an AFL to plot the accumulated profit per scrip over a period

4. So, basically, for each scrip, I would have graphs of accumulated profits for each pair perhaps with some other graphs SMA, EMA etc to indicate if it was possible to predict which pair would work best

Do you think this is a good idea and have you already done some work on this.

I plan to work on this AFL the coming few days and hope to get some guidance in case I need some help on functions

Thanks
Harold

Hi Anju,

Cant Analyse The Charts Because My Hard Disk Has Crashed...& There Is No Charting In This Laptop Of Mine...Yet.

Hello Savantji,

You should use some sort of Hard Disk imaging software everytime to protect your data. One I use for last few years is Acronis. In my personal view, this is the best. Just make a image of your drive and save it in a pen drive or external HDD for later use. What I do is, after installing a fresh Windows and updating all drivers and updates, installing antivirus and other required software etc, I make a fresh image of the dribe BEFORE using the computer. In the long run when computer becomes unresponsive, I just restore the image and it saves me lots and lots of hour of re-installing everything from scratch.

R-Drive Image is Another Option.....

Take an image of the system every 15 days or every month and save the file. U can discard the Old image every time u take a new one.

The Advantage is, If the system crashes...... one can use re-install the latest image(saved). All the data files, softwares ETC ..up to that point will be restored.... It is like any other system re-store ............:)

The good thing about that is, It is free .......:clapping:

Thanks

Hello Savant

Do you have any updates on REC Ltd. The stock went up today inspite of most of the stocks going down. Would you be able to give a target for this stock.

Thanks

Navin
I got a call yesterday from Enam after market hours via sms, it was a buy call with a short term target of Rs.225/- so you can decide for yourself
