Re: Todays Nifty Blast

Hi Alok.

May be that is the reason for the rise or may be some news on bank mergers and consolidation etc., or may be some other news. But, when do I get to know about that information? where do I stand in the information chain? what is the latency of the new flow?

By the time I receive the information, process it and take action, the price might have already reached it's peak. where as the chart in front of me indication of the likely move slightly in advance.

If you see today's charts of various scrips, the price action was indicated at 13.45, where as in BNF, RIL etc., the reversal was indicated at 13.15 only by way of BB piercing and reversal.(Here I am talking of 15 min.charts)

May be I am wrong, but, a day trader will not last long if he depends on news flows to take action.

cheers.
Dear Prasadam,
This is Chicken & egg situation. which came first or maybe we can refer to cause & effect theory. There are people in market who get wind of important news before others & start building up their position which results in technical indicators to change accordingly. Even in the absence of such news technical signals keep changing from Buy to sell & vice versa during course of day trading moving market up or down but rarely it causes a blast of such intensity. As per technicals today 5010-5020 was grey area for upside & one would have booked profit at these levels or could have even gone short. However if one would know that upsurge is caused by news on massive liquidity flow issue being put to rest, one would ride the wave as far as it goes. Probably a cocktail of Technicals along with keeping abreast with news flow would give maximum kick or even hangover.

Have a Nice weekend .

Cheers !!!!

@Savant Sir,

Big day today i made around 200points in BNF.
I also checked CNXIT but sir hugely disappointed as there was little to no volume. Not much movement.I guess its better for long term rather than trading.
Also iam currently holding 1lot Nifty at 4990. Your Views on the position.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

thank u and by the way what is this 5/6 system ? will it be possiable for u to post its afl , i would like it in my ami 5.20
Hi Alpesh,

5/6 system is cross-over of 5-day Simple Moving Average and 6-day Simple Moving Average. When 5-day SMA crosses over above 6-day SMA it is a Buy trigger and when 5-day SMA crosses over and goes below 6-day SMA it is a Sell trigger. Probably you can write your own AFL with this information.

Hi Nisha,

Advising Anything To Buy At The Moment Is Entirely Dependent On How Much You Have Allocated For Investment....If Its Is Less Than 1.5L Then I Would Suggest Be Patient....For A Biggish Correction...Or For 2nd Week Of Januray To Have Re-Look At How The Market Is Looking Going Forward.

Hi Savant sir

Please advise few large cap stocks which can be accumulated in declines for short term gains.

Thanks

Hi Aditya,

CNXIT Is For very Nimble Traders If They Want To Trade Intraday...Otherwise It Is Good For Positional...For Which It Necessary To Have A Proper View On The IT Sector Going Forward...Or Else You Will be Even More Disappointed Than You Were On Intraday...Because Average Number Of Contracts Traded Is About 150-180 Most Times...There Is A way To Trade It...But Cant Put It In The Public Domain...Because Very Few Contracts Are Traded During The Day...
