how does dow and dow futures work....
i mean technically...
dow futures retraced from 8800 to 8300 (78%)during after trade hours...now that dow hs opened its actually retracing from 8800 and its almost nearing 8400..
so if some is technically right,does that mean he can make money twice,since spot has not retraced and a=only futures has?

btw dow charts/spot as of now ...i hope 78% holds good...

nope... u can't trade Dow SPot... just like we can't trade Nifty Spot...
Also, Dow Fut will always have big prem/discount than Dow spot, because it has already digested "news, events, etc" first....
Dow spot is just giving out reaction as an index of its 30 stocks after open

see if u can find exact dow spot & dow fut rates on cnbc...

right now, as per yah00 & bloomberg, dow spot = 8500 & fut = 8600... i am not sure if these r right figures
