Certain scenarios/conditions/qualifiers:
Example taken is a completed ‘BUY SETUP’
1.after completion of buy setup, countdown starts, but before completion of CD13, a sell setup is completed:
Buy setup and buy CD a stand cancelled.
Latest setup i.e. sell setup stands, that can be followed by sell CD.

2.after completion of buy setup, countdown starts, but before completion of CD13, a new buy setup is completed:
Latest buy setup is to be considered.
CD will have to start all over again

3. The low of CD 13 must be less than or equal to close of CD8 to complete the countdown, till this additional condition is met CD13 is postponed.

4. Buy setup bar 9 will be considered CD 1 if it meets the CD criteria, from where CD count can continue

Vivek Bhai, there is a little difference between Pearl's book and your above point#2. Are we missing something ?
Here is what Pearl's book has to say:

If another 'TD buy setup' appears after completing current setup but before completing 'countdown':
Scenario-1:
New setup size is greater than Current Setup
OR
New setup size < 1.618 * Current setup"
then, consider old 'TD buy setup' and keep the existing countdown (CD) running.

Scenario-2:
New setup size is less than Current Setup
OR
New setup size > 1.618 * Current setup"
then, consider new 'TD buy Setup' and start the countdown(CD) from new 'TD buy setup'.

Correct, ideally bars 8 or 9 overlap 1-6.

1. Generally, any setup will be valid until another opposite setup cancels the current one. If same setup appears, its a recycle.

2. Now in this case at bar 9 it hasn't happened.
a. Keep counting setup bars as long as the close is higher than previous 4 bars.

b. When the newer bars complete intersection, your countdown will start (just like it would have if the 9th bar would have done it).
Countdown condition is flexible after it starts. it can have dummy bars in between.

Ravi bhai, one question here:
Say current setup continues till 11 bars (i.e 11 consecutive bar's close is less than the close 4 price bars earlier) and on 12th bar 4 bar rule does not hold, so we can say that we have 11 bars in our setup. Now, if 12th & 13th bar does not fulfills 'intersection' rule, but 14th bar fulfills the condition of 'intersection'. In such case can we start Countdown(CD) from 14th bar ?

I have read again from Perl's book.

Consider this:
Buy set up 1 ---BS 1.
Buy set up 2---BS2.

Now if true range of BS 1 is more than BS 2: BS 1 will stay (countdown based on BS1 will stay).

If true range of BS2 is more than BS 1(but less than 1.618 times of true range of BS 1), BS 2 will stay and earlier countdown that started based on BS1 will be cancelled.

Perl doesn't say anything about what if BS2 is more than 1.618 times BS1, say 2times.

A third scenario is when After BS1, a sell setup is completed, then again BS1 is cancelled (along with the countdown based on it.

Yes, Crossed checked again with the book, it seems that he didnt talk about 'more than 1.618' scenario. Ok, will leave it for ST Sir :)

@Krishan86
1. TD Countdown is not correctly interpreted.
There is no fixation on 13 CD Bars.

2. True range is not defined.

3. Afaik, for TD Buy setup, SL is supposed to be lowest low of setup or CD and vice-versa for TD Sell.

4. TDST S/R should be well defined/explained.

Refrain from translating in own words, that may lead to further confusion. I've received this input from other contributors.
Bhai, If we dont stop counting at CD-13, then where do we stop ? what is the termination condition ? Till now whatever charts i saw (in this thread) everywhere we stopped counting at CD-13. Am i missing something ?

We do count beyond CD 13, see chart in post 272 of Powergrid corporation, I am trading that still.
