How much margin is needed to input CNC buy/sell order? Say the order totals to Rs.1 lakh..
CNC is used for delivery purpose and requires 100% of the amount you are placing the order for.

So if you with to buy something worth Rs 1 lac, you'd need Rs 1 lac of available balance in your account.

Shortselling can only be done in MIS and not in CNC. You'd need to have the shares in your demat account to place a sell order. In that case no margin will be blocked as you own the shares you are trying to sell.

I have an NSE NOW query .

Basically I want to place an order to sell some equity stock at specific rate if reached.I already have the stocks in my account.

I found the Simultaneous Order Entry ..but am not sure if this could be used or is it used for some spread /options .

Thanks,
Raju
Hello Raju,
We don't think that GTC and GTD options are allowed in equity. However, please give us some time and we will confirm the same to you on Monday after talking to the NOW team.

Ok so no money needs to be in the account for selling shares from Demat using CNC?

Hello Nextgen_trader,
We do have commodities membership. However, for our discount trading business we have not started offering it yet.

Currently we are offering it only to franchisees and to high volume traders.
