why is tcs losing on both puts and calls..??

hi tharu may be you are new to options trading. Premiums will be more a head of results and expectations a head of any news in options and after meeting the expectations the premiums will automatically fall if the results are in line or will not fall or minor increase in premiums if results are above or below expectations so the wise thing is to close the option just before or a head of news.

Thanks kiran. Yeah. only a month old in options. i didnt take any positions. but was looking forward to buy it. seeing the premium falling, i didnt dare to touch it. Rs.8 premium for a 1300 call looks VERY attractive. is it advisable to buy now.??

I too was wondering how come the calls tanked while the underlying surged ahead. Something fishy going on? NSE care to explain? Were the call premiums of 1250 & 1300 strike price, inflated all these days? There is huge negative change in open interest accompanied by considerable drop in call premium price. So did the call buyers booked loss so that the call writers can go laughing all the way to the bank? Was it some freak trade? Punching error? I'm really stumped. I was just observing TCS without any position.

Both the 1250 & 1300 calls look juicy at the present rates.
