Its showing error again and again after i click on refresh

"Run Time Error 1004" Can't able to open (nse site address). Cannot download the information you requested.

Please advice whats the issue.

i have used other SHEETS too and OFFICE 2007 ask for permissions which it seek for current program and after granting permissions it work . but this sheet is encrypted or provided with some permissions which are not accepted by EXCEL at all. i even went into TRUST CENTER and changed settings but still the same result .

TO RUN THESE MACRO'S REMOVE THE ENCRYPTION OR PERMISSION RESTRICTIONS ON THE FILE

enabling the connection is done but macro is completely blocked.

this all happened due to PASSWORD PROTECTED WORKSHEET

when you click refresh it start to retrieve data for all stocks. here we need complete control over which stock and index data we want or not(UPDATES)

As i got the information the file is not for public sharing forget about the excel file and continue with your traditional stock picking from nse as of now. as per the author/ developer as informed to me.

Me too faced it initially.... now i have fixed it..

Kindly follow this link ... who has descibed in detail to do a registry fix to overcome this issue. Actually i have done the same and fixed.
(Note :Since its a registry fix please do it at your own risk it you feel it is safe )

editing reg is very risky....better to make it password free...
may be kamlesh will help...me too getting same error ...

A small suggestion for you - Make a refresh button for every stock also. As sometimes suppose i am only following 2 stocks then i don't need to unnecessarily refresh all the stocks which i dont want. Let the main refresh button also in its place just add refresh button specific for single stock. It will also reduce the time of refresh.

Excel is wonderful no doubt.
