Hat's Off to the selfless genius , who share their knowledge.I hope one day I would also be able to contribute after learning from the great minds ...

Raju.

Friends, Sorry for this late post and now it seems all has been said that needed to be told about the Great Kolkata Meet. Anything left shall be told by the recording of the meet to be put up.

I find we have failed to acknowledge the valuable inputs by rhimadri on his trading system. (Or maybe I missed to read the same).

So here I go giving the details as I have understood about the Trading System RHIMADRI had so kindly shared with us all :

He uses FChart Pro and says its a very good software.
He says : Time is MOST IMPORTANT factor in deciding a system set up. Fine tuning Time periods is VERY VERY IMPORTANT.
He uses MACD and CCI.

His set up has
MACD EMA (9,12,26)
1. CCI 14 with 9 days smoothing
2. CCI 20 with 9 days smoothing.

Whenever MACD goes above Signal line, a small quantity is taken.
When CCI 1 is greater than CCI 2 more quantity is taken
When CCI 1 > 100 double quantity is taken.
When CCI 1 goes below 100 exit fully.

Other exit scenario : CCI 2 is less than CCI 1

Imp. comment by RHIMADRI : CCI overbought is a misconception.

I would request RHIMADRI to correct mt post of any errors that might have cropped in.

I however could not configure the system in Metastock. Reason being myself a novice in handling Metastock and also MACD EMA I could not adjust to the specification given by RHIMADRI.
Need help to set up the SET UP in metastock.

So friends here we have selfless people like Saint, Rhimadri, Uashish, Saumya, swagat, Sanjay, Biyasc who all SHARED their trading sytems strategies and Ashish Da went a step further he gave a ready madew EXPERT/INDICATOR for Metastock. All these people have overcome the EGO as said by VVVV in his post about traders not SHARING due to ego problems. They are bound to be ever successful in their trades.
All the best to all of them. They have certainly enriched the trading perspective of many of us and hopefully very soon the Bank Accounts too !!!!

Dear Karnani,

I feel honoured at your kind gesture and thank you for explaining my swing trading system discussed at Kolkata meet. I would like to clarify on CCI as follows:-

When CCI1 cross +100 and CCI1 > CCI2 , entry quantity is doubled and when CCI1 goes below -100 and CCI < CCI2, I exit completely. Hope I have clarified to you.

Further I would like to inform you that I use both Metastock and Fchart Pro but I feel comfortable with Fchart Pro for its easy formula coding.

Cheers

Himadri

Daer Himadri,
Credit is given where it was due.
Can you help me about coding the parameters in MACD in MS and also CCI . Somehow I could not, in any case I am not very proficient in it. Any small help is welcome.
Regards.

my biggest problem before the meet was, i hesitated to book profit, even with a decent gain. but i silently heard what asisda said to us, "book part of your profit quickly & rise the stop to breakeven. this is the way you can survive in market." so after the meetup now i am able to book some quick profits as per asisda's plan. thanks to asisda.

sunondo da, the most simple person with silent activities. what i can say about you. cheers to you.

i also silently heard saint's comment/s about his simple pivot trading method. & i believe saint is a true pro-trader. not because of his pivot system, because of his disciplines. the strong desire to follow the plan without emotion. & i again realized the importance of disciplines.

i talked with deb, his round figure (block trading) trading method also inspired me a lot. i must have to look at it very seriously.

joy_mitali explain a fine tuned non-technical trading method based on my thread "breakout trading vs coin toss". thanks to you joy.

sanjay da (sgm), the most dynamic person i met on the meetup. liked all of your words. i ahve become your fan.

oilman, i was a silent fan of him. and i met him on the meetup. thats my good luck. keep it up. looking for lots of your long post/s.

santanu & satyajit da, the mose simple traders with good human being. hats of to you. carry on.

souma, swagat, the youngest traders on the community with great technical knowlwdge. best of luck.

promod, amit jain, satya, nandini - they all have a strong desire to learn. best of luck.

rkkarni, who gave me a lift on his car. thanks rk sir.

thanks to mnandini for the polo & rkkarnani for big rosogollas.

else i met lots of educated, smart, & good peoples. i wish all of you, best of luck for your near future.

now about me, i had nothing to share with all of you. sorry friends.

finaly, thanks to asisda & sunondoda for your great venture. i salute you.
