Instead it was Gap Up open i think so..

I was referring to ADANIENT Jan Fut price. on 03-01-2012 it closed 283.00 and on 04-01-2013 opened 282.60. So, I said it is gap down open.

Yes...279.25 is the EOD ATP of 04.01.13 You have take this ATP for Intraday trading on 07.01.13

Thanks for taking pain and explaining in simple words. Just one small query from myside....how to define GAP up/down? Say adani closed at 270 and opened at 275....is it a Gap Up? Also explain what is not Gap Up.....is it engulfing candle ??
