Kartik sri

pls refer your chart of SBIN, in this pls reply on following

1. We buy if price closes above 5 WMA(high) and we sell if price closes below 5 WMA (low), than why did we required 5 WMA (close).
2. It has lot of whipsaw, can we do something for those whipsaws or you are looking for 1% gain as intraday?

thanks

My Views on RELCAPITAL today...

The ATP is 463.99

Explanation:

1). The first candle touch the ATP and closed above ATP which signalled for BUY (@ 468.75) But the subsequent candles didnt touch the high.

2). The 6th & 7th candle (circled in the chart) touch the ATP and closed ABOVE ATP BUT DIDNT MADE HIGH OF THE PREVIOUS ATP which means I DONT INITIATE A BUY as a precaution to avoid whipsaw as I said earlier in my post. As a rule I wouldnt have traded today with RELCAPITAL

First of all.. Thanks Karthik for sharing your ATP strategy. Nice to see that all are actively posting their day to day observations w.r.t ATP approach. I am a novice in share market. So please excuse if I ask basic questions.

@Karthik - (ABOVE ATP BUT DIDNT MADE HIGH OF THE PREVIOUS ATP) - Here previous ATP for 7th candle refers to 6th candle or 1st candle?

I observed SAIL yesterday. Please explain how we should have traded/avoided trade.

VWAP - 85.69

Candle#Open High Low Close Comments
1 86.45 86.8 85.6 85.8 ATP candle closes above VWAP. Get ready to trade.
2 85.8 86 85.6 85.65 ATP candle closes below VWAP and does not touch previous ATP candle high. WAIT.
3 85.75 85.75 85.6 85.9 ATP candle closes above VWAP but does not touch previous ATP candle high. WAIT.
10 85 86.4 85 86.4 ATP candle closes above VWAP and touches previous ATP candle high. Go long? What should be the target and SL in this case?
