Trading diary : Trying to become crorepati.

AAh, this thread was not updated for couple of weeks.

One thing I wanted to experiment, that whether I can control myself by holding positions for longer periods, keeping deeper SL.

I succeeded in case of futures, carry forwarded 2 lots aban, 1 lot grasim & 2 lots Mini Nifty.
My profit reduced by few lakhs in this process, but I am having higher targets for aban or grasim or in Nifty.

BASICALLY I am not a long term player. First time I am holding future positions for more than a month.

But Commodity trading has shown me nutshells day & night.

Copper bought @ 245 went above 250 but could not be able to sell as spiritually I wwanted to play longer time horizon. Same with Natural Gas. Went upto 220 but same story with that also.

When came below my buying price of 200 sold @ 191 with a loss of 10K. Copper holding.

ONE THING I have learn t from above trades that possitional trading in commodity is not my cup of tea, but its a game of big pockets.

Decided to play with intra day with commodity market henceforth.

I think you need to play 'very' short term games like me, buy today and even in marginal profit sell it in within 10 days, cuz something is better then nothing

Agree. I have done such things in the past.

Wanted to do something different ....thats it

However I am still in few lakhs profit in my four positions, 2 lots aban bought @ something around 450, 1 lot grasim bought @ 1730 and two lot mini nifty bought @ 3650 levels.

Next time even tell me when you going to buy anything for short term, may be I will also try my hands on that scrip

Sorry, I missed that even after going through whole thread.
One Question. how is your experience in derivative trading and how long you are in derivative. As I am thinking to start with minifty. Becuase as with the stock I have keep eye on nifty first to take long or short. so why not with play nifty itself

You are one of them who are earning good income from stock market and its not so risky to follow you for a time period, but surely after your recommendation I will first study and then will buy any scrip and my risk is less cuz I am only into equity and not in FnO
