Trading Nifty by Levels

Exactly..

Since we can not be so precise in catching the exact highs and exact lows,
a precaution is set at 99.97%

If you are good in technical analysis, read the price chart very well with particular
reference to price-action, you will have a choice to decide between exiting
at 99.97% or waiting beyond 100%. In that case, levels don't matter at all.
No sir I am not proffessional
Still in my views 99.97% of Gann target today i.e. 4791.72 is not feasible and even after taking this precaution we cant be out with profits if we might have traded with 50 lots

Ya sir, that I am saying
Its our individual choice when to book targets,I wrote that Stoploss of long triggered & its true as per Gann theory because gann target not achieved,so far individual trades are concerned we can use targets of even 10 points.
1. If you kept the stoploss as per the Gann's strategy in the other thread,
NO - the stoploss for the long was not hit today.

2. Regarding 99.97%, I am sure I read it on Traderji. Or perhaps some other
forum, I don't remember precisely.

3. Yes, your target can be anything. Depends on your style of trading.
I know traders who exit after a 10-point move, even though it was as big as
a 70-100 points move in NF.

4. The point is, you need not wait till 99.97% also - you can exit much before,
if your target price is achieved.

Gann levels for today
Nifty Fut 9.30 close 4771.2
Buy above 4778 Stop loss 4761 target 4793 4810 4828
Sell below 4761 Stop loss 4778 target 4746 4729 4712

Now first we go long at 4778 Target 4793, which is not achieved, so we remain in trade till target or Stop at 4761
Then when today price reached 4761 we go short with target 4746 which got achieved.

Sir, comment please !

Hi Shivangi,

Sorry to intrude in between the discussion. Many procedures have been listed in the thread "Best Nifty Strategy...'. I even did a backtest of 4 months for the GANN Values. I found that it is best to use a TSL if you are trading by GANN strategy. For Example , If today Buy Entry was 4778 and NF reached 4793, your TSL is 10 points , Then you should exit around 4783. That way you will be locking your profits.

As Tomorrow being friday : i like to request seniors-

Majority are interested in Nifty Fut which is not available in automatic sheet.
If tomorrow may be after mkt hours, somebody can post screenshot of excel showing input as well as output values. And explanation of how one took/should have taken trades accordingly .It will save lot of seniors time. As majority of newbies are and will keep asking same things. Instead one post will help many.

Also one more thing, many are facing prob in installing/using Amiborker. So how should a new trader proceed ??? SHould he/she start with trades based on Volatility sheet and then shift to Amib based trades ?

Pls....

@meena

well said!

Today I used Volatility sheet to trade BSE equities LNT and JSW. Shorted LNT at 1090 and 1087. Shorted JSW at 598. Made 300 Rs on JSW but lost 150 Rs on LNT. LNT did not buck down to market pull down in the late hours!!!!
