Trading NR7 setup

Thanks for sharing your trades and views

I have a small query if you can answere when have some min to spare

1. Out of Nifty 50 stocks how which are in NR7 how do you decide which one to play with

2. Suppose a stocks gaps up or goes up quickly in trade do you take positions?

3. I guess your Time frame is Daily correct me if wrong

Hi,

I don't necessarily trade only on Nifty 50 stocks, if there are no Nifty stocks under NR7 then I prefer stocks with great volumes.

If stocks breaks the NR7 high in gap up opening, I blindly go long and if it breaks NR7 Low in gap down opening then I go short. But I make sure that break point and my entry point should not have much difference. If I missed that and stock zooms very fast before I get in, then i ll skip that trade.

and yes. i follow daily time frame.

Am looking for an excel tool which would backtest the results based on NR7 trigger. Currently am doing it manually which takes hours of time. will be of great help if you could provide some tools to back test the NR7 strategy.

No, am not a full time trader. I trade whenever time permits. Mostly I make up my time whenever I anticipate any great moves in the market.

Yes, yesterday with Lupin and today with Gitanjali, both were my gems and given me decent return, thanks to NR7 setup and Forum members from whom I have learned and still am learning.
