I have one more post to write about how to bottom fish. I will do it once I know how to pen it down for you guys to understand. This is one topic which is not covered in depth by any book and hence will require time to write it. Will work on it as and when I find the time.

Nithin,

Good to see your message.

I remember about Voltas. Voltas now has lost its price structure and hence its off my list. I had also recommended something like Biocon, HDFC, Tata Motors and on these I retain my holdings.

For all stocks I had mentioned hold for 6 months or till the price structure remains intact. If price structure goes, I simply dump the stock.

Raunak,

I am a bit confused on your statement - Voltas now has lost its price structure , I am trying to compare the Chart of Voltas to Sterlite ( Mentioned in point 6 i.e Final Price Analysis ).

When i check the retracement "I think" its Weakly Bullish - Retraces more than 38.2% but less than 50% (50% retracement Price is 206 ). I do Not see any drastic decrease in Volume as well. Currently there has been a pullback from 215.

The first RED line is marked at 38.2% Retracement i.e at 218.
The second RED line is at 61.8% Retracement i.e at 193.5( Which was NOT breached ).

The chart data is from NOV 09 to date ( Daily Chart ), On the Weekly Chart the Current Price is above 38.2% retracement which is 214.5 .

I have posted a Crude Chart...:( .....Below , could you please explain Reason(s) for your conclusion that Voltas has Lost its price structure.

( Seeing your statement on Price structure I am having Second Thoughts on My interpretation of Charts .....i.e AM I improving OR.......:(...)

Thank you for your Reply,

Best Wishes,
Nithin.

@ Mr R :D

What do you say abt this ... looking to enter for longer TF ....

And SAIL Spot on a longer TF .. so Cash/Equity only .. no Options .. no FnO ... Entry for Bullish WW would be strictly above blue dotted line. SL lower slanting TL once u r in trade.
murtaza bhai,

seems to be a perfect entry point..
u always get the entry just about at right time.. :)

it has been a great learning place (TJ) , especially due to u , raunak bhai and SG sir.

I have a query here.
if one wants to trade for around 5 day time frame, should he focus mainly on the 30 mins chart or daily chart ?
am using google finance for the TA.

Thanks
Prashanth

It's not any bullish. :)

Lower highs. Not lower lows. last 2 weeks lows are 213 and 213.5.
Is it time for consolidation?

VJAY & Ankit,

Thankyou for your comments on Voltas,

I think the "SWING LOW" that I have taken into consideration is not correct .

Nithin.

Nithin,

I will explain after market hours.

The reasons are more in line with what Vijay has outlined.

Also, out of price structure comment is reserved on Daily frame. Stock is still Bullish on Weekly frame.
