The members of Jindal Steel (Q, N,C,F)* & Power, at its meeting held on Dec. 27, 2007, approved the sub-division of equity shares of Rs 5 each into 5 equity shares of Re 1 each.

Jindal Steel & Power reported a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended September 2007. During the quarter, the company reported a 76.47% rise in profit to Rs 2,774.70 million from Rs 1,572.30 million in the same quarter, last year.

Net sales for the quarter rose 60.71% to Rs 12,690.40 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Shares of the company were last trading down Rs 123.7, or 0.84%, at Rs 14,531.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 19,511. (1.22 p.m., Thursday)

Ranbaxy Laboratories is looking at spinning off its research unit in the second half of the year, reports Economic Times.



The company expects this to happen in the second half of the year. However, it is not known whether it is the calendar year or the financial year, sources said. An announcement is likely to be made in the first week of February.

Accumulated GMR, NTPC @ bottom level

Guj NRE still a bet for me - which saved my portfolio frm huge fall

I believe the days for accumulation started.....

I still hear noises tht mkt will reach another fall but still nobody knows wats the bottom.

From my end - accumulation to build a strong portfolio started

yes i agree with u..........one should collect now for a healthy portfolio at every dip.........

yes. i have also started accumulating rnrl, tatasteel,idbi and neyveli lignite etc. i have reluctantly exited the rnrl counter at 180 levels and now reentered at 99 levels. some/every body losing on these counters by selling at these levels. hope breeze will enter our place this week.

somehow, I have lost around 8 % during this weeks fall by keeping stoploss then and there. I request all our members to strictly follow stoploss and also see some fundamentals while picking scrips.
