NEWS UPDATES
• Shares of non banking finance companies gained after
Securities and Exchange Board of India said regulated
finance companies no longer need to show 100% asset
cover while selling unsecured debt instruments
• Simplex Infrastructure said promoters have pledged
additional 6.65 lakh shares representing 1.35% of the
equity capital of the firm.
• Jaihind Projects secured three orders aggregating Rs
25.31 crore.
• Shares from the telecom pack rose ahead of the
empowered group of ministers' meet today to take a final
call on the payment timeline for the third generation
spectrum auctions.

POST MARKET
The BSE Sensex closed lower by 85.41 points or (0.48%) at
17,615.72 and NSE Nifty ended down by 18.70 points or (0.35%) at
5,263.10. BSE Midcap closed with losses of 1.32 points or (0.02%) at
6,944.62 whereas BSE Small cap closed with gains of 57.85 points
8,659.76. The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 17,733.34 and
intraday low of 17,566.54. Among the Sensex pack 18 stocks ended
in red territory and 12 in green. The market breadth indicating the
overall health of the market remained positive as 1638 stocks
closed in green while 1237 stocks closed in red and 94 stocks
remained unchanged in BSE. The S&P CNX Nifty is 18.70 down
points or -0.35% to 5263.10. The NSE turnover was down
Rs.16867.77 from last trading session’s Rs. 18670.78 Crore.
