On Negative side, if profit booking starts then slide may continue

With reference to earlier announcement dated December 01, 2009 regarding Sale of Global Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business of AREVA, Areva T&D India Ltd has now informed BSE that the AREVA group, on January 20, 2010 signed a Share Purchase Agreement with Alstom and Schnelder Electric, setting out the legal and financial terms and conditions for the divestment of its Transmission and Distribution business.

The completion of the sale transaction is still subject to obtaining the merger clearance from the EU Commission and other relevant, national, competent authorities.
