@ bunny and trader.trends

for what time frame the vsa can be used effectively.

whether it is apply for weekly chars?

thanks for ur kind cooperation
Works best on EOD timeframe. On intraday timeframes, I have found to useful on 1,3 and 5 min timeframe. It is useful on the tick timeframe too, but there is visual distortion of volume perception and hence is interpreted wrongly many times.

I have not used VSA on weekly timeframes, so no idea.

Prateek VSA works on any and every time frame. This is where the style of trading comes into picture. Although this might be against general consensus ,time frames like 1,3, and 5 minutes will whipsaw you all over the place unless these small time frames are used as strict entry/exit points which are based on Strength/Weakness in higher time frames.

This is the approach that i use while trading VSA/Wyckoff Methods

1.Assessment of Background is more important than anything else.
2.This will help you in understanding the trend of the market.
3.Once the trend is understood look for confirmation.
4.Once confirmation is seen try to find your place in the trend (entry point ) and then see if you belong in the trend (if the stop is too wide and makes you feel uncomfortable then do not enter).
5.Just before taking the position the final confirmation for an entry point should come from a higher time frame. If not then wait for a while.

thanks inangia

i do only positional trading and i think it works best in the daily charts.

i have started trading using vsa just 15 days ago and still struggeling.
i have not been able to develop a trading system for myself.
it will be so kind if senior and experience members help me.

Well Prateek all of us have been there. First 2-3 months i had no clue of what VSA is all about although i read/re-read both the books of Mr.Williams several times and attended several webinars on VSA . However day-by-day things started making sense and the number of mistakes kept reducing.

I mean this in the nicest possible way , please don't expect anyone to help you. What you could do is post charts and discuss entry/exit points and the reasons behind them and get an opinion of others. This could possibly revive this dormant thread and benefit everyone who wishes to participate or browse through it.

Cheers

Volume Spread Analysis technique is interesting. However, the emphasis on previous trend before accumulation/distribution requires one clarification: how many bars/days one should look for before concluding that time has come for action. In the final analysis, it is the trading opportunity that counts most for the day trader or the long term traders like swing or investing individual.

Comments and suggestions based on practical experience in Indian stock market should be useful to all.
