First & Foremost I would like to thank KKeskar92 for his splendid work. It has encouraged a newbie like me to take up WCCI seriously.

I have started basic observations, but still in real market time to id the patterns is difficult.

I am currently using 3 minutes timeframe charts for nifty futures and as advised trying to focus on one or two patterns only. (but still in observation stage)

I am posting herewith an image of wcci - 3 min tf - nifty futures - trading day 21-5-10.

I would be glad if you can just highlight the patterns prior to the selected bar (blue vertical line) and for exits there after.

Note: for nifty futures I have found that more peaks & valleys occur at 160+115 values, hence I have changed the grid values to the same. Is this okay?

Awaiting your reply, Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Amar

Hi Amar,
Thanks for ur comments.
I am using CCI on a 5 min Nifty charts with new smooth adaptive version which reduces false signals and whipsaws. I use previous days HLC levels and pivots along with CCI since first 2 hrs...Nifty just tests previos highs , lows and once europe opens it takes definite direction. Problems with woodies CCI are too many false signals and whipsaws if you just focus on patterns...it requires other trade criteria too like sidewinder and chipzone indicators for a good trade. I try to see pattern....check CZI and sidewinder and once the momentum sets in... be in a trade until momentum lasts.

see ur image with patterns written over it.

What do mean by fast time frames?
Woodies has recommended 3 or 5 min timeframe to trade his system.
What is fast for you may not be so for others.

Hi Santosh

The CCI pics in my last few posts is the adaptive smooth CCI designed for mt4. The T3 value in the settings can be adjusted to smooth out CCI....If u smooth out CCI too much then u cant see the patterns such as Famir or vegas patterns. If u use classic woodies CCI, it gives too many false signals and whipsaws. So the settings have been so adjusted to achieve both objectives. I am using T3 of 3 which smoothenes the CCI and preserves the patterns as well and so enables better trades.
I will post few pics comparing both classic CCI and adaptive CCI showing my point.

Hi Kkeskar,

these false movement and whipsaws are found in very volatile movement and the shares which can be market operated, plus on lower time frame. Same can be adjusted to get the fine signal from classic cci also.
