I was NOT aware of that "high" STT charges, what I was thinking that it will be around 50-100 or 200 Rupees for my In-The-Money Option (16 Lots) on the basis of total transaction value that was only around Rs 18500/=..... All I can say... is..... my profit vanished and I took no loss.... I am happy with this too..... but for STT "very very high" charges, this is NOT a good practice that NSE is applying...... Zerodha only flashes a message but Zerodha does NOT "tell" in the message how much of these charges "could be"..... anyway....... it happens.....

There is a link in this bulletin from yesterday with the details of how NSE charges STT. Bad luck, but maybe if you had read the bulletin, you could have avoided this. Hope this helps for the future.

Hi zerodha

Is there a way to square off position automatically at a particular time in 'PI'.

Suppose i trade intraday only.... and i have to l to leave office before 3 but i want to keep my position opened till 3.15 or 3.20... is it possible to automatically square off that position at given time?

PS: I trade nifty only, not stocks

ZERODHA

I want a ultra simple order entry option like this

BUY @ the price I place and SELL @ price I place - On the same order entry form.

Simply put I must be able to say place an order on say infosys

BUY
QTY = 100
RATE =990
SELL
QTY =100
RATE = 1050

Good for the day or otherwise.

The first and second trade type should be interchangeable - SELL and BUY.

Sent the first order to the exchange. If the price is met execute it. If the first order is executed, send the second order (SELL) to the exchange.

ICICIDIRECT has already implemented it but at market price for purchase and limit for sell.

It is better that both be Limit
Suresh, haven't u checked the bracket orders yet? U can use limit as well

That will actually become an algo in itself, if you want things to be squared off at a certain time. We could offer this in the future, but not for now.

I also saw the popup message yesterday. In fact every expiryday I see the message. Trading in F&o is very risky, one should be alert and knowledgable and should not miss this type of messages. Anyway successful trading comes from learning from mistakes. Learn and move on.

I told Zerodha that please stop the reminder of extra STT and also web adress https://zerodha.com/marketintel/Bulletin/123 every few minits on terminal because now every one aware about it......but I was wrong...many are still dont know any thing.

Ledger not yet updated in the backoffice. No one answering the phone, cut off after holding for 3 minutes "all our executives are attending to other customers". Must be having a lot of complainants at this time.
Hello to you and all the other old friends... How are you guys doing... Pretty good to see you all still here.. :)
I pretty much stopped trading on Pi. Have set up two systems, one with charting software and the other mediocre laptop with Nest running for order entry. Haven't faced any issues on Nest for nearly half a year now(since Jan, the time I disappeared from Traderji :D) although occasional glitches were observed. But I guess with time I just started to work with the problems.
By the way, talking about ledger, same problem here too. Usually it gets updated at around 6.30. If it isn't, I just click on the funds tab and click back home and you can see it up to date. But in case, this doesn't work, it's probably Zerodha which hasn't updated yet.
Although, mine was updated yesterday late night, today evening, Q reverted back to the balance that was pre-market open yesterday. Called the support and the support told me that it gets updated on T+1 day. I tried to apprise her that everyday, almost, the updated equity balance is shown on the trading day itself but she just denied and told me it happens on T+1 day for F&O... So, I just said 'Okay' and cut the call.
