A post on facebook by someone reads following::::
One thing i have notice if their is volatility,Zerodha goes haywire,Have notice lot of time.
Their are bring something new each year, but can't fix old problem
Their should be no reason like backup didn't switch in time.
Either their severs, don't have infrastructure,Rather wasting money on side projects.Should channel those money into infrastructure.

Zerodha,

We see that on your web site you have said margin trading coming soon, i guess this has been there since 2003, can you precisely tell us when you will provide margin funding or there are no plans of providing margin funding

regards

Zerodha ,

By reading all the recent posts you might have now got slightest idea about "kite" ability during volatility days .. now this is costing much to me and others .. I have a ICICIdirect and HDFC account for trading .. but switched over to a "discount broker - Zerodha "

Pl. Rectify this behaviour of kite i have lost some good amounts . I never faced trading problem with icici or hdfc ON VOLATILITY DAYS.. Why is this on your side . ? May be time to upgrade the machines to handle large orders ?
Pl. consider the immediate grievance of public , we would like to continue with " zerodha " but if this goes on we might switch to other discount broker services

To ADMIN : Pl. do not delete this post

PS : Pl. dont go by my account created timeline . I have account since 2012 with zerodha

what is surprising is that this time there has been no clarification or reply from Zerodha about what happened on the market crash day!

not a good sign for business...either they acknowledge the issue and are working on resolving OR they've turned a deaf ear like other big brokerages. Both cases are not good signs.

Some reply should have been posted here or elsewhere. Either blaming themselves or vendors or anyone else.

This was a case of sudden exponential spike in load, this happened across various brokerages and also a few financial sites which crashed for a bit. For now we have added additional servers over the weekend to ensure we are ready if an event like this repeats.

We are also building a separate new data center at Chennai for redundancy (probably only 2 or 3 other brokers in India have it). As soon as it is up, half of our clients will connect from this center. This will also act as a live backup.
