Guys, I started trading 1st time with zerodha from yesterday.
To-day, I placed limit order for SBIN at 264.00(short) but executed order is showed as avg 263.75, anybody can say why this 0.25 points difference, is it any charge for BO/CO/brokerage ?
Yesterday also happened same thing
considering that you did the same thing that you do regularly with other brokers. the only difference with z is that your orders are firing in their server first. with other brokers it may fire directly with exchange servers.

ps: there will be small millisecond delay to check if your orders are in anyway going to affect z....'s prop orders and then passed to exchange servers (just kidding only on this part)

Agar Trading karney aaye ho, saab kuch karlo market mein, paar apney aap pey thoda sa rehem khatey huey Zerodha sey trade maat karo, please!
Yeh loog dhikawa bahut kartein hain, sudhrengey kabhi nahi...... Saach mein bahut ho gaya bhailoog ... khud teen sadhey teen saal se observe kar raha hoon ..... Zerodha choro nahi toh SEBI retail participation poora bandh kar dega :p:D

P.S. The above message is not applicable for Investors.

Hey, thanks for that. I only need a broker whose trading platform won't go out of service at important points. I don't need any of the data or charts stuff as of now.
If you do not need any Chart stuff, then I would suggest you to place your orders using NEST (search YouTube). NEST is very light, simple, stable and reliable for order execution purpose only. You can choose any other discount broker, they all provide NEST.

Try Fyers once, call them up and ask for a demo id. Fyers' platform and OMS is safe until their servers gets overcrowded without a ramp-up.

You can also try out TradeSmartOnline, their brokerage is the cheapest but reliability is a concern.

I don't know whether its a rumor or true, Upstox is backed by Tata. So, with Upstox you can safely keep your money and their accounting or back-office part is elaborate, simple and lovely. But Upstox's web-based platform is deteriorating day by day.

Finally, after 10 days, they levy short margin penalty.

Forwarding this to NSE. Let's see what they have to say about it. No response from either so far.

As you already mentioned that none of the discount brokers are reliable with their platforms I was thinking to have two accounts with different discount brokers. I am thinking I will have one with Upstox. Can you please suggest another?

Over the last 4 years Z has failed me on all important days. It won't work on election results day nor on yearly budget declaration days. I lost too much money because of them. I just need a broker who will at least allow me to place a buy or sell order on their platform irrespective of the market volatility.

I tried ICICI, Axis and Angel broking but they are too costly. So please suggest me a discount broker.

Thanks.
Go for brokers who provide NSE NOW or NEST. Both are reliable horse which rarely goes down ! And best part is its not developed in house so they wont have unnecessary things, NSE NOW never let me down . (Only one outage after many many years and it came in big news everywhere that much impact it causes as almost all dealers and big players use NSE NOW/NEST)
