Hi, This is my first post on Tradeji. Also I have not yet got Zerodha A/C but I am considering opening one. I have a few queries:
1) Failed transaction attracts Rs 50/- What does this mean?
2) I am planning to start off on a small scale, i.e. invest may be Rs 5000/- and then gradually when I gain confidence, I could scale it up. is there any minimum limit for getting account with Zerodha?
3) I was using Sharekhan earlier and there was no separate option for buying intra-day or buying-and-taking-delivery. If I don't sell by evening, then it would be automatically considered for Delivery, otherwise it would be considered Intraday. That gave me flexibility to take delivery if I was not able to book enough Intraday profit and vice versa. Does Zerodha also have a common option for buying intraday and for-delivery stocks or do we have to decide before placing the order whether we are doing to take delivery or not? I am not planning to buy on margin. I will buy only as much cash I have in the A/C. Please reply.

1. Failed transaction, I guess you are talking about the demat account. That is when you are transferring stocks from other DP to our DP, but the transaction fails since you don't have stocks in other demat. It is like a bounced cheque..

2. No minimum limits

3. With us, if you intend to trade intraday you need to use the product type as MIS, but if you think by EOD you haven't seen profits, this could be converted to CNC which is for delivery. But the thing to know is that, when trading with MIS, with Rs 5000 you can buy stocks for upto 50,000, but when trading for delivery using CNC, with 5000 you can buy only for 5000.

Your account can't have your uncle's address proof, if you could get an address proof for yourself with your uncle's address on it, it should be ok..
