dear Zerodha
everyone wants trigger based entry in bracket order so they place and relax but you are providing market order only .
please add sl-l entry order in bracket order. SHAREKHAN bracket order has this facility
why you are not providing it
sl-m order entry is more important than sl-l for BO

Oh really! then why does my order get executed at market price immedietly when i place a limit order which is supposed to be a PENDING order.

I always have to place a Stop loss order EVERYTIME.
You are talking like a newbie. Please go back to basic and understand the behavior of different order types before pointing fingers at anybody. I don't blame you it can get confusing sometime.

BTW
A limit buy order placed above the market price will be executed immediately.
A sell limit order placed placed below the market price will be executed immediately.

This is the expected behavior.

What is status on new trading software ?

Few suggestion
1) On chart have Visual mark up order [Check below image] this far important feature

2) Pre-define order value...so that it can save time while placing order.

3) Go one step ahead basic trading platform with good chart system then providing complete package with back-testing and system feature..it much more easier get approvals from sebi one by one.
I don't understand why reinvent the wheel why not work with Ninjatrader, Multicharts or sierrachart vendor and integrate your backoffice and datafeed.
This is how it works in the west.
BTW I get to know from some reliable sources Ninjatrader is working with some indian vendor to get into India in a big way. There is no date but you never know. Also they are planning to launch NT8 by year end.
I don't know who is that Indian vendor but upcoming pi platform is up for some serious competition already.

What I can tell you is that we tried all of those options before we started on what we are doing now.

Even if Ninja trader ties up with a broker, it will very similar to how Amibroker is with NEST, you get a bridge to trade using any one of these platforms, but actual trading will still have to happen on NEST.

But what I can also tell you is that we haven't reinvented the wheel, that would have taken us few more years...

what about direct FIX implementation to route your trade to the exchange?
