Exchange Order Numbers

Curiosity: What is the pattern by which NSE assigns exchange order numbers ?

For example, scrips in the same bulk order have their order nos as:
BERGEPAINT -- 20130110 000215xx
ITC -- 20130110 333338xx
PFIZER -- 20130110 6666877xx
RELIANCE -- 20130110 6666680xx

The corresponding NOW orders numbers are sequential.

@ Zerodha please let know how can i get margin against my holdings ASAP.

If it is already in your demat account, an email should do asking us to pledge your stocks, you can mention which stocks and quantity to [email protected]..

If your account was opened before 6 months, it is possible that you would not have the facility of asking us to do this via an email, in that case there is a document that you need to sign and send so that we can enable this facility for you..

When i place a stop loss order , i get a message "Price Alert triggered with Entered Price" continue with these values ?.

My purchase price 54.00 LTP 61.80
Stop Loss Order I have given, price = 50.00 Trigger price : 50.50

I am using Nest Trader. Is the above order is correct and do i need to press "Yes" for above message ? or any thing wrong with the order ?

Viswam, what you are doing is absolutely perfect.. The price alert message is just to let you know the trigger price, I know the message could be misleading and I have made a note to fix it..

If you are trading nifty options I suggest you to use SL-M, if it is not enabled, shoot an email to [email protected] and it will be enabled in a jiffy..

Never thought about it .. .. Let me see if I see any particular pattern and let you know..

Note to myself - try calling support before trying forum.

Actually Zerodha should enable for everyone. It should be in default setting.

Why Individual needs to ask?

Zerodha: any reason why it is not included in default setting?

One small suggestion.. I am about to open an new account with you.. I stay in bangalore, Why dont you arrange your executive to come and collect the documents from the customer who are staying in bangalore and hyderabad ( As you have office there also)..It will be good for customer also.. Your officials are doing a great job...

Zerodha if i pledge all my holdings then would margin be available against any share bought thereafter or i will have to mail again for those holdings.
