Zerodha Part 2

Hi Zerodha/Sachin,

Today around 3:25 I get a call from zerodha, and the lady who called me up asked me whether I have traded using my account, and even after repeatedly telling her I have already traded quite some time on my account, she still insisted that if I transfer Rs5000 then opening process will be completed. When I told her firmly that I have been trading already then why opening process need to be completed again, she agreed upon looking at zerodha's end.

What is this all about? Why such inconvenience regarding the opening, especially to the one who has already been almost actively using the account?

Dear Zerodha,

Cover Order no yet very useful, wiating for following modification.

1 For option writing, please increase the % range, 2-3 Months over when your last comments that your technical team working on it.

2 I suggest, instead of market order, please provide small range, when ever I take Cover Order, I lost 3-4 Rs in Nifty Future and same in EXIT. For example, If nifty trading at 6050, price range should be 6045-6050(B) or 6050-6055(S), same when we exit, there should be a range. Your system can canceal the order afte 2-3 Mint if order will not executed.

Please reply, Thanks.

If you want both the NEST to be in the system, follow the steps in this blog:

Hey sachin
Last time when I spoke to you and e-mailed you also you told me that
you will provide margin For DP holdings in the account once your Z Trader
takes over from NOW online and things will be online just as they are in
Edelweiss

In the reply to Email I got i was told 30 percent margin will be taken in cash which was fine With me as of now u have mentioned in the thread that requirement
Of cash has been reduced to 15 Percent

Now i have 2 confusions how do the shares i give you will be pledged ????

How do I all the time maintain 15 percent cash margin as the market moves up and down all the time

As i will be selling same stock futures i hold in cash market there is no risk ( cash future arbitrage) will my position will be squared off If cash component given to you falls from 15 percent to say - 5 percent with sudden up move in markets

Also how much time will it take to sell the pledge shares if i want to sell

Like always looking for your help full guidance and reply
You can pledge the shares via an email asking us to pledge.

We won't sell any stock just because the cash component has gone into negative, but we would do only if the total margin(cash+collateral after haircut) drops below the SPAN margin requirement( pleas note SPAN margin requirement and not total margin requirement).. We have to square it off here because this is when the NSE penalty comes into play..

One more Thing I forgot to ask can you provide cash Future strategy at Nest
If yes how much will it cost and If not at present then by When ????
If you mean one of those automated trading tools, it can be arranged, but you will need to have access to dealer terminal. You will have to get an NCFM and also become an Authorized person on NSE...

I could have a demo arranged if you are interested..

Is Equity MIS Intraday trading is less expensive than Equity Derivative trading ?

For example:

1 lot DLF ( =1000 ) MIS Future trading

vs

1 lot DLF ( =1000 ) MIS Equity trading

which one would be less expensive ?

By less expensive I mean (total trade charge + income tax payable to govt at the end of FY)

And again you'd have to consider the Margin requirements for both to see the rate of return.

Closing price is average price of last half hour, NSE displays it around 3.40pm..
market is closed at 3.30 PM ...right ? No order can be placed after that ...correct ?

I am asking this because you know I see rates fluctuates even after 3.30 PM in moneycontrol website ....I'm not sure whether one can place order even during 3.30 PM to 3.40 PM

@ Zerodha,

My friend has Commodity Account with you and he now wants to open F&O account also (without Demat).

Please tell me what is the procedure ........
