Thanks Zerodha.

1) If there are shortages or no delivery from clients, the auction charges etc are to his account. You can take an undertaking to that effect. Anyone trading online has to fulfill all his obligations. You have clients margin with you.So if margin is Rs 1 Lakh, allow him to sell on delivery shares worth say Rs 2 Lacs or 3 Lacs so that even if they are auctioned, the debit can be put to his account. Alternatively you can even think of allowing sale only against advance transfer. So I transfer the shares in your designated account today and based on this receipt you allow me to sell them tomorrow. A bit cumbersome process but ok to start with and 100 % safe.

2) Speed- e is working beautifully. It is a stable and proven system.I have been using it for last over 5 years. The shares get transferred in 30 min time. All done electronically.....I can put a transfer instructions even in the night and it gets transferred by 9:30 in the morning and I get early pay-in benefit also. Faultless service from NSDL. In last 5 years I have never had a single problem in transfer through speed-e. If you need any further information on speed-e , I will be happy to provide.

3) PMed you tel nos of both my brokers.

If every trader was as knowledgable as you, it would be a dream to run the business.. :)

The problem is that a lot of people who do this, don't have any cash balances in their account, so if an auction debit, it is on the brokers head.

That said, we have been working on this for a bit, don't want to give any dates though..

Will have a word with the numbers u have given, thanks..

Hi Zerodha,

I have a doubt. As far as I can remember there is no option of appointing a nominee while opening the "trading account" with you. In case there is lot of money left in the account and the account holder dies what is the process for transferring the money to his bank account?
Money goes back into your bank account and then based on your bank account. In case of inactivity, we transfer the money back to your bank account within 3 months..

For equities: If you sell on CNC today(T), cash from the sale will come to your clear balance only on T+2. On T+2 you have to wait for the amount to appear as clear balance on the back office(Withdrawal request link). It happens about 5:30 in the evening. If you place a withdrawal request on T+2 before 7:30pm, it will be credited to your account on next day for non HDFC accounts(if it is not a NEFT holidy).

Thanks for the post

Am having to admit that I cannot figure a way to consistently order the scrips in the market watch the way I want.

1. When adding directly to the market watch, if no row is selected, the scrip is added just above the last scrip. If a row is selected, then the scrip is added above the selected row. This indicates that new scrips must be added in the reverse order to the way they are desired for view. There seems to be no way to add a scrip after the last existing one in one step.

If a scrip is missed out in the order it should be added; it creates more problems. Usually, after exit and restart, the position shifts. Sometimes after multiple exits and restarts, the position sticks. No definitive pattern.

If after adding directly to the market watch, you go to Groups and then Save and Update, the order in the market watch changes to the order in which the scrips were added.

2. When adding new scrips directly to Groups, there is this strange behavior of new scrips added to the top of the table, where as they would show in reverse in the market watch. In Groups, there is no way to order to a desired view.

Anybody has a good working technique to do this?

I have always wondered why scrips do not have an assignable serial number next to them. If a market watch is reordered by say percentage change or volume by clicking on the header, it would be trivial to reorder it back to the original by serial number. This applies to all tables: market watch / order book / trade book, etc. The only place I've seen a displayed serial number is the Odin Orders Book.

Hi Zerodha,

Let's say i have 20 Lakhs in my account, I would like to trade both in Nse Derivatives and Mcx Derivatives simultaneously without splitting the money.

When will this be possible with Zerodha?

Yeah! Subhadip is right.

Earlier it was possible, but since April 2012 regulatory authorities discontinued that. :annoyed:
