Hi, if I open DP account with you along with trading account, is it possible to transfer shares from my old DP account to your DP account, and then transfer shares to your pool account? I am asking this since I have many shares in my exiting DP account and I need some way to sell them. Also, I still have not received any forms. I called 2 weeks ago but nothing has been delivered. Thanks.
Yes you can transfer shares from existing to our DP and then sell it through us... Can you leave your number on [email protected] , someone will call back and sort this out for u...

This means if I link a different DP than IILFS I won't be able to do positional or swing trades by taking delivery and finishing both sides trade from solely your broking house but have to sell from my old DP provider?

If I rely only on cash and don't use margins will I be able to take delivery and sell from your a/c? I do the same on RKG where I don't take margins and they allow to carry my postions and a/c is linked with a different DP.
If you link another DP, you can buy shares on delivery but can't sell it from DP if it is something other than what is mapped ...You can do derivatives(intraday and positional) and intraday cash trading... You can take delivery and hold it overnight and the shares get transferred to the DP you have mapped, if it is anything other than our DP then you will not be able to sell with us...

hi everyone plz clear the following:

what will be the margin requirements for one lot (in rupees) if i short the following through zerodha:

1. nifty
2. mini nifty
3. nifty call
4. mini nifty call

what will be the brokerage for one leg of one lot written above in rs. if i m in to percentage brokerage plan i think zerodha offers (0.01/0.1) plan

please give me calculations of brokerage if possible
For trading derivatives, the plan is 20Rs/order(doesn't make sense to go for 0.01 plan as 20rs would be cheaper than 0.01 even if you trade 1 lot at a time)..

Margin required for nifty is 11000 for intraday, 30000 for overnight...

Margin for Shorting options vary depending on the strike price....
In the money options, intraday around 10k, overnight, 22 to 28k
out of the money options, intraday around 6to 9k, overnight 16 to 22k ..

Leave your email on [email protected], will mail you the brokerage calculator that we have...

do we have to specify weather its a intraday trade or overnight trade?

my mailid is [email protected]

and can we later on change our stance from intraday to overnight?

Will give you an example..

Assume you have 1lk in your trading account, with 1lk, you can buy 9 lots of nifty for intraday and 3 lots for overnight...You don't need to mention intraday or overnight, if you have margins you can hold it overnight otherwise we will square off between 3.10pm to 3.30pm which is excess positions... So out of 9 lots 6 lots will get squared off if you don't bring in extra margin to hold...

Hi,

The rules are same for all futures.. Intraday 50% of SPAN margin and overnight entire margin... SO for bank nifty it is around 12k for intraday and around 33 for overnight.. for mininifty around 5k for intraday and 14k for overnight...Cheers...

Hi
Shachin
Good job-- You are leading the 'changing of the %brokerage situation of the Indian stock market'.
Also you are answering the questions raised by the most concerned are- i,e the traders in such a community platform.
Now I need your advice-- I have requested for an account+dp openning form in your website but I think your website form maybe little faster but I am not sure about the number of pages I have to print- Please tell me about that.
Thanks and hope for the best,
Roysou
