Dear ZerodhaOnline,

I have one question and need clarification so that it will help all users.

take for example.
I have 2000Rs in zerodha accunt
On dt 01.2.2011 I buy Call option 5700 @ 30Rs qty 50 Order type NRML.
Intraday Margin block is Rs 1500
at EOD I received contract note showing debit of 1525Rs
Dt 02.02.2010 My Available margin showing on NOW Terminal is 475Rs.
2000-1525 = 475Rs
on Dt 02.02.2010 morning 10:00 AM i Sell Call option 5700 @ 25Rs qty 50
Order type NRML

That means i sold my previous holding and closed pos.
on 02.02.2010 itself at 2:00 PM say same option rise to Rs 80Rs
on 02.02.2010 itself on NOW terminal it is showing 1 pos open which is
Sell Call option 5700 @ 25Rs and MTM loss showing when option price is Rs80 so -2750Rs
here i have only Rs 475Rs in margin and MTM loss showing -2750Rs.
NOW Terminal shows only positions of current day and don't show or know previous day holding.

My question is. what will happen in this situation ?
Will my pos will get squareoff at EOD with negative margin with loss of -2750Rs ?

as per me i closed(sold) my previous holding, but as per NOW Terminal it will understand as i write option (Sold Option) , since NOW knows/shows only current position and don't know any previous holding.

Pl Clarify this situation

hi
i want to know how much total costing in 1 lot of Nifty buy and sell.
plz tell me exact costing

let say buy @5500 and sell @ 5500

total brokerage is 20 + 20 = 40 it's ok
other then ?????? and how ????

plz explain

thank you
You buy 1 lot and sell 1 lot or you buy 100 lots and sell 100 lots, the brokerage is only 20 for buying and 20 for selling : Rs 40...

So yes you are right... leave us your email and phone number on india@zerodha, we will call you and also send a brokerage calculator..

Hi Ramdas,

You must be looking at admin positions under daywise... In daywise, only today's position will be showing...hence it might show an mtm based on your sell today...

You ideally should look at net wise position, it will show you total net position of yours... margins are blocked based on netwise positions...

To look at your net position, either click alt + f6 or else in f11 look at netwise positions...

Cheers....

If you are running sharekhan and NOW on the same machine, if internet is not fast enough you can face slight issues...
