Hi Sachin,

Why ORDERS are rejected?

1.Insufficient Funds. ........NO
2.Transaction password is wrong. ......No
3.Symbol Name is wrong....... Probable cause.

Why symbols are like this NIFTY11MARFUT instead of NIFTY31MARFUT?
Can't really make out looking at the snapshot... Symbol is definitely wrong... What you need to see is if the date and time settings on your computer is right... If date and time is wrong, the contract usually looks different... In any case, if you can schedule a time, will take you through the whole demo... Cheers...

1.NOW-web
2.NOW-express
3.LaunchNOW (ver.1.5).

It seems all people in your software division has put good work in it.
Congratulations to them ;and to you also for popularising it ,here.

Re: new cheapest broker is here. Zerodha

what mithoon was saying is if he buys 2 lots in one order... and then sells 1 lot...and then sells the other after some time.. it makes 3 transaction... so 20 + 20 + 20 = Rs 60 /-...

or am i missing something...?

I think brokerage should not be your primary concern. Speed of execution, cost of transaction, relative down time, response time to sort out a problem, attitude of the customer care... these all factors come into the picture.

RKG's odin still suffers from price freeze and occasional log-off that takes atleast 2-3 min to log back in again after deleting log files from the machine. So RKG is not exactly a very good alternative..

I agree with Linkon, we can forget about LITTLE brokerage variations ,
if it is Feature-rich.

What is the safety of our investment. And for lot size investment in tht wht benefit we get. But main thing is safety of investment.
Hi Shailu,

We have had this discussion earlier, but in brief what I want to tell you is, there has never been any member of NSE who has ever run away with clients investment... NSE and SEBI is probably the best regulators in the whole world...
As far as Zerodha in particular is concerned, margin funding is what causes brokers problems when market turns around.... We don't do any margin funding and hence are probably the least leveraged brokers in the country today... Any margin funding if needed is pushed to ILFS who can take that risk being the biggest DP in the country with upwards of 10000 crs in cash with them....

an interesting trivia is, in the last fall of the markets from 6400 to 5100 on nifty, Zerodha as a member's margin utilization levels never went above 20% on any single day... Don't know if you can make out the importance of this, but because most of our clients are intraday traders, we were utilizing a max of 20% of the funds whereas the day nifty was around 5200 a lot of members were in the 60 to 70% range, some smaller members at closer to 80%... A day of panic and it would have hit the exchange threshold of 90%....

Cheers...
