hyi zerodha,

suppose if i am intrested in trading current months nifty futures only on intraday basis. there are few questions that are there in my mind can u plzzzz answer them??

1. what would be the minimum money that is required to trade 1 lot of nifty future on intraday basis only?

2. i just want to trade 2 lots or at the max 3 lots of nifty futures right now --- so how many points do i need to break even (or what would be the brokerage for 2 lots and the for 3 lots)?

3. on what time does the automatic square off thing comes into picture?

4. how many day does it take approx. to open an account with zerodha and which are the banks that can be linked to the account?

Dear Zerodha

I downloaded the NOW Setup file and installed it. However when I am clicking on the NOW Icon, the initial image is being displayed but later a message is coming " NOW Initialization failed for Interactive Engine : << os error >> " and the software is getting closed.

Additionally when I am logging in through the web-version and subsequently launching the "Trade Express", Java application is starting and the Trade Express page is getting displayed but no data is available.

I am using IE Version 8 and I am behind a proxy server.

Pls help.

1..intraday futures nifty 40% of total margins(presently).. So around 12 to 13k...

2. Brokerage is 20 Rs/executed order, you can buy or sell as much as you want.. if you do 3 lots brokerage is 40(20 buyin and 20 selling).... With all charges the breakeven for 3 lots is around 2points for futures and 0.4 points for options...

3. Between 3 to 3.10

4. Trading account in 24 hours time...Bank accounts are hdfc, axis for instant transfers... All other banks for NEFT and RTGS... Our icici bank account should also be up in a few more days...

I AM NOT A PRO IN OPTION TRADING BUT DOING PRETTY GOOD IN OPTION SELLING IN ICICIDIRECT FOR LAST 5 YRS AND MANAGED TO POCKET SOME GOOD AMOUNT IN AN AVERAGE...HOWEVER ICICIDIRECT HAD LOOTED ME UNDOUBTEDLY IN TERMS OF BROKERAGE...RS 95 PER LO. yes it do work at very poor 2g gprs speed also...yes u can place market limit stoploss as u wish...

i used to get same error....plz do check internet connection is connected at good speed before launching now application....also update to latest java...all problems will be solved

I use the android version of the application and have Airtel 2G services. I use it only to place orders in FnO. Would say it works great so far. Hope this helps...
