Akash,

The email you have received is our standard reply.. Moving stocks for pledging is something we are simplifying, in the next few days we will update it...

Assume today you have 1lk of stocks, if haircut is 20%, you can use 80k of this..

If you now want to use 1lk for taking f&O positions, you can use 70k from the 80k credit you have on stocks, but you would need to bring in 30k as cash...

There has to be some cash component, the 30% is up for review.. But idea is, we would need some cash there upfront to ensure we don't have to call you up for any mtm loss...

We are trying to do this online, keeping that in mind, if you guys have a method to do this with as little physical contact as possible, do let us know....

I AM GLAD THAT I DID NOT WAIT FOR ZERODHA AND AND PAID MY ADVACE BROKERAGRE FOR THIS YEAR AS IN ONE YEAR THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE MARGINS , AND NOW I AM NOT EVEN SURE IF AFTER PROVIDING MARGINS ( IF THEY EVER WILL ) THEY WILL BE ABLE TO MANAGE POSTIONS

AKASH I WOULD ADVICE YOU TO NOT LOOK FOR 2-3 THOUSAND OF BROKERAGE SAVED A MONTH AND KEEP ON WORKING WHERE YOU DO
AND CHECK WITH ZERODHA AFTER 2-3 YEARS WHEN THEY MIGHT OFFER MARGINS AGAINST STOCKS AND A PROPERLY WORKING SOFTWARE WHICH DOESNT HANG EVERY OTHER DAY

REGARDS MAYANAK

If Zerodha is shy to share about this then we request Akash2004 to share with everyone.

Did you hear from Zerodha?
buzz you are unusually harsh on zerodha are you a broker who is loosing business because of 20 rs per trade

what will akash tell you he must have got the same reply which i got many times .They write here we provide margins like other brokers

But when you ask them they will ask for cash margins pledging stocks Ect manually which is just not possible for a trader who moves in and out of
markets at drop of a hat

But neverthe less other that not giving margins i would still say zerodha is a very good broker ( may be for all of you but as of now its not good for few of us who required margins and also its not upto the mark if you compare with the big boys )

As some one mentioned that they do mistakes even creditiing shares in D mat and he has to call them to get it fixed then how in the world do they provide margins against error made in Dmat with out any mistakes
