Ok.. my PC is on Mt. Everest :)... now how does one take care of exe clash and prevent the message "An instance of NOW is already running....."
There are programs available, that let you allocate a portion of your current hdd to a virtual drive. It gets a drive letter like d: or e: or whatever you choose to name it. There are freeware programs, as well as paid programs that do this.

Allocate 1 gb to this virtual drive, and you should install now in that directory.

BTW, you could be on the moon, but still, your PC would have to be elevated 6 feet above your current place, as NOW was installed in that place, and it detects the presence of that place. Now ius a very smart program, unlike most of its users :)

Got it. But it will be very resource hungry, because the virtual drive itself will hog the RAM, and NOW is a bit unstable itself. Better to create a small partition using Partition Magic maybe.

Zerodha,

In the 60 day challenge starting today, for opening balance, how will the open positions in F&O be considered ? At their MTM value as on opening of 15th Feb ??
Yes, The challenge is on from today morning... Yes all positions will be considered as of close of 14th evening... We are planning to bring in stock holdings as well into the contest, so this way all your delivery trades would also be considered...

Not at all. The virtual drive is allocated from the hdd, and not the Ram.
Though if comfy with partition Magic, then that option is the best.

Yes you can.
Following are the seps.

You have to have 2 partitions on your system. Like c drive and d drive.
By default, now would be on c drive in programs.
Now, create a directory on your d drive by the name of newnow
Copy the entire directory from c:\program\now to this directory. Now, there will be an exe file in this directory.
Go to d:\newnow and find this exe file. Double click, or make a shortcut to desktop, and voila!

If you dont have a second partition, there is still a workaround, please ask here if thats the case.
Thanks sumosanammain....will check it EOD :thumb:
