Hi Zerodha, i am interested to open an account with you (for commodity), send multiple mails to courier one set of forms but it seems it is my bad luck (or you didn't like my name !!), still waiting (almost 14 days over) :(
Hey Samit, I am sorry about this, Can you send me your name and contact to [email protected], please put my name in the subject(Sachin)...

Also the commodity opening form is only around 20 odd pages...

Dear Zerodha,

Any plans of ranking the traders based on the profit %age made by them during the contest period.:)
Yes MSA, we have been pondering about it... We are planning on acknowledging the top 20 to 50 traders, Certifying that you are a winner in the Zerodha 60 day challenge...

There would be a new page on our backoffice soon, where you can track the challenge on a daily basis... But a nice certificate from a broker acknowledging you are a winner in the markets would be a very good idea....

Thanks for the reply, Was about to bring the query to your notice, since it was too many posts back.

Yes , it will be very helpful to see the list. It will be like a certificate for the traders , and increase the enthusiasm. You know the accredition is more important than the refund of the brokerage.:) :)

And all these TV analysts should be asked to show their ZERODHA certification to comment about the future trend of the market.:)

The last para can be removed, if I am going too far.

Sorry, I was just joking.
There was a time when I could not afford to pay 500 rs per month for monthly data. And if at that time, 900 rs for account opening form would have been a deterrent for me.

Some people are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, no doubt, but some have to walk home at 2 am from 3 kms away, as busses are off the road at that time, and taxi fare, though in pocket, I could not part with it. The walk was not so long, but the fact that I could not afford the taxi fare was a low point in my life.

I distinctly remember that day, and will remember it till I die.

So, before commenting on what someone can and cannot afford, do be a little considerate. And no offence meant to you.

I believe I opened an account at Zerodha because you offer good plans. I have not signed up for a competition. Frankly, I do not care about the 60 day Challenge nor about the refund of brokerage and even less about certificates.

But I do care about privacy. Publishing names amounts to SERIOUS breach of privacy. As long as the back-office shows ONLY the client's performance, it's fine. But when you start comparing client performances in public, I'm afraid of the consequences.
Man, we married women with a similar mind! Even you dont want her to know how much money you make, right? :)

Hey AKX,

You are absolutely right!!! The challenge is completely private and there definitely won't be publishing of any information... As I had earlier said, if you want the refund you can ask for it otherwise you could ask us to keep it.... What is on your backoffice, no one else can see it, it is completely confidential to you... If you are up on your account, we might send a certificate on an email(physical if requested)(your personal email) acknowledging that you won...

zerodha should probably consider opt-out request if privacy is an issue to any client.

But, there are a lot of people who'd like their names flashed on top20/30/50 for their talent....
