Once the commodities is streamlined, Zerodha will get in touch with us immediately ,keeping traders away is not in their best interest and they need traders as much as traders need them.....so obviously some hitches still there.

I would not like to trade till the platform ( commodities and Zerodha Trader , their front end platform ) stabilises and all initial issues addressed. Till then baaki brokers hai na.....

yes ...when all the issues including trading platform...backoffice etc setteled ...only then we shud start trading in zerodha commo.........BTW nobody have received passwords for NEST...only welcome letters.......let them first ready all things ...no hurry..........aadhe adhure se thoda wait karna jyada accha hai.....

I dont have any previous trading experience..
I am planning to open an account with Zerodha.. I have following queries..

1) I plan to trade only nifty futures (intraday and overnight). Do I need to open a demat account? Being new to this field, I don't have a demat account anywhere. Is it OK?

2) If I have to open only trading account, then, is sending photo with pan card in hand necessary for In Person Verification..

3) I have downloaded and printed out the forms and signed across the photographs and signed at all the necessary places. I haven't filled any details. Now will I have to just courier it to you guys along with the documents or am I missing something?

4) As I have printed the forms, What will be the cheque amount I will have to Pay.. (200 or 300)

Passwords for NEST to trade commodities should be in your email in the next few hours.... Also the payment gateway on NEST platform might take till this weekend before it is enabled... You would have to use the back office payment gateway to transfer funds or NEFT transfer...

Answer to point 3: Now you have to take the form, duly signed, to your family pundit, and have him perform a few rituals on it. THEN courier it

But this is generally necessary when we are filling up the form of other Brokers.... Zerodha is quite a transparent and trader-friendly Broker.... So, he doesn't need to perform this ritual right now.....

You don't need a demat account to trade futures, either intraday or overnight..

For IPV, we could do it through a webcam also, otherwise you can send the soft copy of the photo

That's it, just courier it to us.. Also will be good if you can call us up once to reconfirm everything you are sending...

you mean as zerodha is traderfriendly they have their own group of pandits in a dedicated pooja room with transparent glass walls to perform rituals for new applications?

Your humors are great but not good for a new joiner....if you cannot help or guide a new person then atleast don try to make fun of there questions.
All vintage members know your sense of humor and value your words but making such a light comment is not good.
I know many of you would bash me after this post but can't help it.
