Hopefully not!

I am also in the same boat!!
I have received a new email containing the passwords for MCX but they are the same ones sent to me earlier in the day today. Now when I try to login in nest trader this time, I get a message that "Plz update nest trader packager for 2FA". I am assuming 2FA means 2 Factor Authentication but don't know how to update the nest trader package. I did uninstall it then reistalled it from the mail sent by Zerodha but it didn't help.

I used the set of passwords (they are in fact the same passwords..) and the
log in went through without any problem.

No idea what this 2FA means and how to update it. Zerodha should be able to
clarify it tomorrow.

Just download the software from the link and install it. It worked for me and I am able to login after changing the passwords. I am able to see the prices as well. But, I dont know when I click on historical charts, its throwing some errors and when I clicking on intraday charts it says data unavailable.

Do I need to enable NEST PLUS??

Just install the new version, and when you are logging in the 2FA is for the self password recovery reset/recovery I guess. So, you just need to go through that process of answering some questions. Thats all.

Nest Plus is for charting and the starter version is free for now. so no harm in installing it if you dont have realtime charting available to you from any other software.

No . I think 2FA is not for password recovery or reset but it is to be entered every time we login in NEST or zerodha web. It is a safety feature stipulated by the Sebi and exchanges ,if I understood it correctly.

Yes, I thought it is for password. I think thats not for password recovery. As you said its to identify Zerodha web or NEST to authenticate its valid site or software.

Cheers!
