hyi zerodha,

sorry to disturb you once again with my silly questionzzz ;)

i am doing (dlf-1m) positional swing trading and would like to start with intraday trading as well ..... here is how i do it

i login to nowonline.in --> click on express --> and do all the positional trades in that new java window that comes up ( would like to do intraday in this window only because i like this interface )

here are the two questions .. plz answer them ..

Q1). suppose i buy nifty-1m current months future for 5230 and want to put a stop loss between 5220 to 5200(when the price comes in this range then ony the stoploss should get executed) ... how do i do that ?

Q2). and then when i short nifty-1m current months future for lets say 5260 and i want to put a stop loss between 5270 to 5290(when the price comes in this range then ony the stoploss should get executed) ..... how do i do that ?

plz answer these questions with regards to nowonline.in-->express interface only as i am not intrested in changing my interface and trying zerodha software (because this express interface is really good) ......

hmm..

Zerodha, today morning, my RMS Surveillance shows that I have used more money than I have in my account (117.86%). Do you auto-square off such positions ?? If so, at what time ??

Yeah, all positions which have a margin percentage utilization of more thank 100% will be squared off automatically after 3:00 PM. To avoid an automatic square off, you have to make sure your margin utilization is below 100% before 3:00 PM.

One more question can we transfer money from saving account to trading one using NOW software?
Yes, you can transfer funds directly from the NOW terminal if you have HDFC or Axis Bank as your primary bank.
To transfer funds, please click on Market (in the top menu) > Web Links > Payin... This will take you to your bank's payment gateway and you can do a fund transfer instantly.

Is that only for intraday positions or for overnight positions too ?? Also, there must be some different time for currency positions and NFO ...

There's no option to place a range-based stop loss order. The logic behind a Stop Loss order is that the order sits hidden in the system until the trigger price is hit. After the trigger price is hit, the order is released into the regular order book at Market or Limit price.

To put stop loss, please do the following:
1. Select order type as 'SL' or 'SL-M'
2. This opens up a new 'box' in the second line of order window called 'Tr. Price'.
3. Put in your trigger price and then put in a 'limit' price if yours is a 'SL' order. (When the Stock hits the trigger price, stock gets bought/sold at the limit price) For a SL Buy order Limit price has to be higher than the trigger price and for a SL Sell order Limit price has to be lower than trigger price.
4. Put in your trigger price if yours is a 'SL-M' order. (When Stock hits the trigger price, stock gets bought/sold at market price)
5. Hit enter and execute the order.

Difference between SL-L and SL-M is as below:
Assuming you have bought Nifty @ 5100...
You can place a SL-L (Stop Loss-Limit) with trigger at 5080 and Limit Price at 5076. Hence if the price comes to 5080, a sell order is sent to the exchange at 5076 and depending on the best buy the order gets executed. However, if the price of Nifty falls from 5080 to 5075 in one tick, although your trigger is activated the Stop loss does not get executed as the limit sell is at 5076.
However, if you place a SL-M (Stop Loss Market) you will be allowed to enter only the Trigger Price. Assuming you put the trigger at 5080, the moment Nifty hits 5080, it gets sold at whatever is the "Best Buy" Price in the market.

To withdraw funds, just log into your back office personal ledger by going to http://ideal.zerodha.com and place a withdrawal request from the home screen itself. All payouts will be processed by 7:00 PM on weekdays and the funds will be in your account within 24 hours from then. If you place a withdrawal request after 7:00 PM then it will be released the next working day.

The CNC option will be active as soon as your demat account opens with us.
