Well i totally agree with you... But there are some rules regarding FnO that are followed. Like the minimum value of a lot of a stock in FnO cannot be less than 2 lakhs. This Rule was made When Futures and Options were started and not right now... If you remember last year also Government...

Well that is the point only. The government doesnt want every1 to trade in FnO especially the middle class ppl. It was meant for richer ppl only from the very beginning. In some ways i am glad only that such moves are taken cause many low-income group ppl many a times tend to speculate...

Yeah.. And just think... Selling call and Put Both ways !! and in your case in was still a few days(although a good amount of premium reduced) I was talking about reduction in premium in purely intraday basis !! *Although ill never ever advice any1 to sell options to gain Premium amount...

kindly send me the same... I want to know more about it. From what i have seen in my terminal.. i have only sold 2600 puts and sold 2800-2900 calls and my average margin used per 50(i.e 1 lot) comes to be 7500.

Nope if it closes @ 2600 we gain 100 points from the 2700 put but since we have already given 70 points as premium, overall net profit = 100-70 =+30

Yeah it looks As if "with 6 lots" we are earning a very small profit, But according to me if you check the R:R ratio... its very favourable with the expiry sooo near. And even if actually have 6 lots, the maximum risk taken is on 1 lot. i.e below 2500 or above 2900 we lose as per a loss of 1...

Hey ... I would have loved to give some link but i myself have tried a couple of times to find something good about options on the net... but mostly ive not been successful to find something good. Mostly you find bookish knowledge on the net.. but i will try again this weekend if i can find...

Nice question... But just think if the markets were to go down only... why would any1 buy a Future as well ? Ppl may Sell put option to hedge their shorts or maybe they think it wont go down below a certain level during a certain time frame... Thus they sell the option. cheers

one can apply my favourite Option selling strategy right now... those who think markets will not go below 2500 or go above 2900 this month(especially with only a few days left and soo many resistances and supports in the way..) can go for the following strategy. Buy 50 2700 Call @ 70 sell 100...

Ahh for that you have to confirm it with your broker... Its different @ different places.. I do not have margin problems because all my long term stocks are kept as margin.. So dont have much idea on margin requirement..
