nifty future seems ok for me as there are fixed levels to enter , exit , SL etc. but in options my exits were really bad as no fixed levels there and too many factors alpha, beta, gama , vola etc. ABCD to yaad hui nahi ye alpha beta kaise yaad hoga so left options.:annoyed:

Taiki, do you have any plans of trading options. I believe options working better than future for me in Nifty.. post your views pls..

TraderRavi, if you are reading this can you post your experience in options vs. futures in nifty..thanks.

sorry to be off-topic.
I had tried Nifty and few stock options last year, at that time I was not having any systems to follow, doing only tukka trades, reading charts from google finance with few indicators like EMA, MACD, STOC etc. But had no knowledge on how to interpret those indicators reading well. :D

Then when I started trading full time I had started again with option too.Though I was having a system then but it was missing few edges. And I was unware of how to select the right strike, and other option features like Alpha, gamma vega etc.. So when I was getting a Long signal from my systems I was selling an deep ITM puts and buying an near OTM puts for hedging. I dont know if there is any strategy covering such trades :D

This was lacking on SL part, exit part, and was very weak in sideways days. But I did not experimented much here and then with much improvisation in the system I shifted to FUT and sticking to it since last 3 months. And no such plans in near future on starting option also. but may include as a milestone in my trading system. May be 5th/6th milestone ;)

I am with you too Taiki, first learn to trade with NF and BNF is what I have told myself :Dto avoid temptations to trade on other derivatives as well as markets.

Trade Setup for 21 Aug 2013

30 M Chart (S/R Lines)

On upside the S/R lines are at 5420, 5480-5500, 5560
On downside S/R lines are at 5360, 5300-5310, 5250-5260

3 M Chart (Trading Frame)

Price was in sideways range of 5360 - 5420 where bears where active everytime price crossed 5410 and bulls became active when price reached 5360. The breakout from this range will give further direction to Nifty movements

Global Index Update
US markets were mixed. DJIA closed in red where as NASDAQ and S&P 500 are up, UK markets are in deep red. Asian markets are in deep red too where only SGX Nifty is trading at 1.3% up. This may give a positive start to nifty but need to be aware of the higher levels.

Trade Area
1. BPB/BOF/TST at 5480
2. BPB/BOF at 5420
3. BPB/BOF at 5360
4. BPB/BOF/TST at 5300
