EOD Summary

I dont know what more worse can happen in a single day !!!

- Got the early Short signal from 5480 but missed it for little delay in moving the order

- Re-entry could have been done around 5440 when th intraday support broke, but just in right time my terminal got disconnected and after several try also it could not connect. Contacted my broker, he also tried to check it with teamviewer, then with Amyone, and finally the problem came out to be the connection mode in NOW, Bharti server was down and need to connect through TATA. By the time I re-connected NF was near 5400.

- NF kept failing, making new lows, 5360, 5330 and added fuel to my frustration for missing such 160+ down move.

- 5360 was my S/R line, and when NF came above that level without any thought I bought there and price immediately fell to 5300. I could not accept its fall when price reversed after my entry, No stop loss, Difficult to accept that i may make loss in such a beautiful days, kept holding to that level thinking NF will make a reverse, saying it has already fallen much for the day. Exited at 5320, Took a hit of 43 points.

Lost almost half of my profits made on Friday. Adding fuel to the burn, NF kept falling and made a low at 5260. A day with a range of 230+, And at the EOD I am standing at a loss of 43 points. At the end of the day I just asked if any more worse things are left to happen with me today !!!!

No more trades for this week, will come back on Monday. Need time to recover psychologically, need time to rediscover my motivation again. Atlast happy when I came now and saw many of my friends have made lots of money today.. Good luck friends, Keep doing well, See you all on Monday.

You may get attractive trade setups for next two days bu please never login to your charter to check quotes. Leave it, forge that you are a trader and spend the next 4 days. I can understand your feeling have been there before. Today I also made a bad mistake however did not incur losses but if I had placed correct SL I would have taken 18% of trading capital today only. What to do sometimes luck plays and sometimes I play bad.

In your case it was luck so don't take it to head. It is easy to say but your friends advice.

Today, I also got a disconnection on both my NOW accounts, first it happened on TATA server and then later it happened on Bharti server. I did not miss any trades but makes you wonder what's going on?

Sad to hear that Taiki, I think its not your problem, its pretty much usual that we read markets wrong some times. I have lost up to 100% of profits made yesterday and today due to going at wrong direction and wild swings of nifty.

but I also feel its normal in a day traders life. cheer up, take a break if you need, and come back with energy. my best wishes..

Thank you so much everyone for your moral support.

It was not the loss what I was worried about, It was the wrong decision that I made breaking my own rules, and that happened only becasue I was frustrated for missing some good fall and profits. Anyway I learned lot of things in these, and got to know about few things on my emotions as well in these 2 days break.

Looking forward for a good start from Monday. :thumb:

My strategy is open in this thread. but I am trading only on Nifty FUT, No idea about commodities, But you can backtest the past data with the available strategies from trader ji, else, best will be learn as much as you can and create your own rules which will suit your style of trading the best.
