Monthly Report

September series went quite good for me. First 10 days went superb and I was around 18% profit by 10 sep. But then market became choppy for few days, and due to my overconfidence I made loss and then to recover them I forgot my money management and made more loss. But thankfully I recognized this killing instinct in me, and took a break. I had to start trading from this week, but could not trade full time because few health problem.

So finally I enjoyed a lot this september series, Ended the series with 13% profit in hand after brokerage. Got my points early in months, spent the 2nd half in learning, experimenting and enjoying my break. Exactly how I had dreamed of living a trader's life .

Now looking forward to oct series, aim is to continue good execution and trade well. Good luck to all my friends also for a good october series.

goodwork done:thumb: BUTU u have not traded the entire series this series performance can not be the platform for future.as u said that later in series u got whipsa and u lost and you stopped suppose if u had to face this in the beginning. i have noticed hat most of ur points u scored from long trades. u failed on low range days . this is my observation so far i hope it will be usefull for u. i really want u to succeed but on this series there is a big but

yes, your observation was right. The entire profit for September came in the first half. Nifty was in a clear uptrend and this tells why I had made money only from long trade, Why should have I tried to make money from shorts when the market is up ??

and then markets became choppy, and I lost because of bad trade management. Even majority of my loss in that choppy days accounts to my bad trade management, rather than bad market condition. I was in profit in few trades, but when market reversed I did not close the trade, wanting the market to go in my directions.. It is purely an emotional problem. And I learned it again this month, rather than trying to control the market we should control our emotion first. It is a well known fact to all, but we tend to forget this in good times. So with proper execution and trade management results in the choppy days could have been different. But I did not stay grounded because of the profits made form my 1st week.

And I do not even look forward to the future path highlighting the profits from sept. But I am now looking to path ahead with a note of mistakes committed in last series. As again a choppy day will come, loss will follow profit like night follows day. But I will try to stick to my basics, being strict in following my plans, not being carried away and lastly having mastery over executing my trading plans.

Hi Candle,

Because of time constraint not getting enough time to visit TJ frequently now a days. But it has been more exciting trading this series. Two of my friends got suddenly interested in learning day trading. So I have to spend time in educating and guiding them in this new journey.

In the evening, time is spent in analysing charts, trades taken/missed, reviewing my trades and their paper trades, and discussing many stuffs on trading smartly and on money management. After all these stuffs hardly getting any time to visit tJ forums, So i have stopped posting my pre-market analysis and charts. But wil try to post the trades taken for the day at night ( if possible ) else on weekends.

So far It was just only me trying to trade and improve and now we are a team, and it is being fun so far

Trades for Friday

Trades on Monday

Both friday and Monday had givven good short signal in the last hour of trading but my bad luck I failed to pick it. I am becoming a bit lazy after 1pm, it has been a trend since the beginning. Need to get rid of this and stay alert

Tuesday was a bad day to me, I did not exit from my 1st short trade early, and market reversed sharply and took my SL, Then I could not convinced myself of market going up, and tried to pick the tops. Result was my SL got hit in two trades

Point wise
Firday = +21 points
Monday = +59 points
Tuesday = -17 Points

Trade on 3rd Oct 2013

Missed the early long opportunity during opening range breakout. Had to wait for a long time before getting a chance in pullback setup.

Entered long at 5933, SL = 5923, Exited after 3 Pm at 5970.
1 trade, Net gain = +37 points
